  1. It would be good to see some different coaches for the current steam range from Accurascale that could be utilised for most areas, whilst there are some GWR coaches available there are still others that are yet to be done or yet to be done to 21st century standards, GER doesn't have much if any coaching stock ready to run as far as I am aware.
  2. I have long said that as an industry, model railways has to be more cooperative than directly competitive (not having the same small class produced by 2 or 3 manufacturers, etc) if we take Dapol and Accurascale, both are producing a Manor however Dapol are producing GWR coaches that can go with (at some point) in the form of the Corridor Toplights, it's really more about supplementing what other manufacturers produce on top of "new" things. This is where models of Industrials are very good, the only produced prior to 2015 was the J94 so when Hattons and Hornby entered the market with the Barclay and Pecketts respectively it opened up a new world for modellers that was previously difficult to enter, we're seeing this with 009 as well, which supplements the exisiting 00 gauge range quite nicely. End of the day, we will see duplication of other models because if the market wants, then more than likely the market shall get due to the commercial nature of anyone producing products.
  3. Duplication isn't inherently bad, if people will buy it, and it is more popular than the competitors model, then no it isn't bad.
  4. The Janus and the Victory do look rather good in that picture. Really I guess we could start asking if we will see a run 2 announcement soon... Random thing but does anyone know where I can get some NCB Transfers for the tanks of Victory?
  5. I think there will be profit in other regions, however, the 00 market has seen a number of larger passenger designs over the last 6 years so it is surely a good thing that we have one of the goods workhorses coming to our layouts again as a new tooling, and then there's also the point about the green being the correct shade. I think Dapol should be on to a winner with this model, and whilst layouts may be getting smaller I honestly cannot see why one cannot make an appearance as a visiting engine or something on many layouts. Going by the Mogul (which is the only Dapol steamer I have) this should be a good one to see released, though at a rough guess these will probably arrive Q1 2025 rather than in late 2024 as announced so all the more time to save for these models. Only issue I had with the Mogul was that there wasn't a lot of torque though I am not certain as to whether or not this issue has been addressed by Dapol or not, though it does not impede the models with 3 to 4 coaches normally when going round a curved gradient so should be fine.
  6. I do hope the GWR Lettering is centred on the tender properly on these though, unlike on the Manor.
  7. Well this is exciting, probably the first 2-8-0 I'll be getting...
  8. Rather exciting given this is going to be their second 00 gauge project, do wonder if they'll expand to other retailers at some point in the nearish future...
  9. Stanir 8F is indeed something that would be good to see a new tooling of, but so would an Accurascale Industrial steam loco to go with the Chaldrons...
  10. Finally gotten round to attaching the sand boxes, and to go for something a bit different, added the works plates to the sandboxes.
  11. I would like Accurascale to do some more GWR Locos namely tank engines like the 2021 class, because why not have a GWR loco that lasted from the late 19th Century to the early 1950s. Though any new tooled 0-6-0 is a good investment from my perspective...
  12. Yes however they constantly sell out and are rather irritating to find. So I guess a new tooled Corridor MK1 would make sense to go with the already announce Suburbans.
  13. It would be good to see more coaches, but I would rather we got a wider selection of coaching stock that hasn't been done before. MK1s would be good mind if we could get a Blood and Custard RMB (like the one preserved at Blaenavon), but I would personally rather some new GWR Coaches that haven't been done before alongside some LMS coaches.
  14. If you go have a look at Rapido's 15xx video, at the end you will find a hint about them doing the County...
  15. Wouldn't be complaing about a new one, though I have just been working on an older one so would be kind of funny. Manors do be looking the part, just need a wartime black version, also something that's been bugging me about the samples, the shiny axles are showing through on the front set of wheels and I'm wondering if this has been corrected for the production models?

    Dapol Autocoach

The rebuilt 2021s seem like the best candidates to me, but I have seen few pictures. It does become somewhat awkward but I wonder if it's possible to go down the Genesis route with the 2021 class.

    Dapol Autocoach

Why not a GWR 2021 class to go with these, just thinking as they were initially Saddle Tanks before becoming Pannier tanks not to mention they made it to BR days, and being late 1890s designs they should work well for pregrouping layouts. It may have only been 27 or so examples that were autofitted but surely it could be an interesting locomotive to add to a fleet. Never been done before and the locos were the precursors to the 1600 class Panniers, so quite a wide range of duties could be modelled.
  18. Now that would be cool. Even though that means they'd need a Welsh speaker. I just hope it's a new tooled piece of rolling stock or loco.
  19. Not to my knowledge, think there was a run with DCC provision but not many were produced, not to mention they haven’t been available for quite some time and the mechanism isn’t the best.
  20. As a modeller attempting to model 89B if preserved it's quite high for myself as well. Main reason I would say a new tooled 57xx would be good is the mechanism, but also from general refinements, there is not to mention a lack of separately fitted lamp irons to contend with on the older models, having one of the newer Bachmann 8750 class locos I'd say that there are a few general areas that could do with improvement, not to mention we could get the 97xx variants.......
  21. Probably been answered before but what alloy/metal is used for these models? Just curious that's all.
  22. I know that these are arriving soon, but I wanted to ask if there is going to be a second run? If so I might ask if we could get a GWR Wartime Black Manor, seeing that it's a livery not normally produced....
  23. Now that would be good, a Saloon that is GWR would work extremely well for most modellers. As you say the 2251s haven't been done to modern standards, and quite frankly would be good to see DCC Ready, seeing that they haven't been available for a while.
