  1. The batch of colas 66 i got the circuit board that has the leds on it for markers/ tail light/ and headlights (day/night). It has 4 leds the top 2 are the night/day headlights and they have there own light pipe to the larger headlight openings. The other lower 2 leds are bimodal white/red leds that are the markers/ tail lights and have light pipes to the smaller openings. The circuit board tracks only allow one marker and the opposite headlight to illuminate which is incorrect you should have both markers and top marker for all modes day, night and yard
  2. My 66 only displayed ine marker opposite the headlight before i modified it
  3. I have the colas class 66 which has the large lights. As from the factory you cant use yard mode which is just the 2x marker lights and top light. That's what the trains use (trust me im a signaller in tbe entrance to a freightliner yard) it is physically impossible to use that from the factory. Also in day or night mode it is still incorrect as only only 1 lower marker shows opposite the main headlight
  4. Lokprogrammer makes it loads easier than cv tables just its just tick boxes in the programme. I used 8 function outputs on top of the f0 forward and reverse for the class 66
  5. Ive used this guy's website http://s374444733.websitehome.co.uk/class-70/index.htm as a basis for a lot of my models and learnt from that and built on that but it did require lots of probing with a multimeter and removal of all the switches making it dcc only. I also used a lok programmer to reassign function outputs for yard mode, night and day headlights parking mode and train mode with disabled headlights
  6. I'm on nights so just going to sleep but if i get chance later I'll try and get some photos but i completely removed the switches from the circuit board where the dedoder went. On the little light circuit boards at each end there are tiny little tracks that link the marker light to opposite side headlight and both connect to either the wire for the day headlight or night headlight. I linked the 2 marker lights together as one circuit and day headlight as one circuit a night headlight as another which meant adding another wire running from the lighting circuit each end i used the F0 light output to drive yard ie 2x lower markers and i connected the toplight circuit. AUX1 for day headlight, AUX 2 for night headlight, AUX 3 tail light, AUX 4 cablight, then F0 reverse, AUX 5, 6, 7, 8 for reverse. I used the solder pads on the decoder for the AUX outputs and all the standard resistors on the light boards are retained
  7. After a little modifying of the hattons circuit board yard mode, day headlight and night headlight with the correct 2 marker lights and toplight
  8. Have you got any ideas on how to do the extension on a crane boom

  10. Who did the mpv with all the lights on it, was it a loan from legomanboffo?
  11. Could you use something like a bogie from a Bachmann voyager and print the shock absorber? Or from America Walthers Proto HO 920-2131 Amfleet Inside Bearing Trucks (1 Pair) this could be used with again 3d printed shock
  12. I saw an article in one of the magazine's about how too modify some wagons tip make the various wagons for the timber train to chirk it goes past my signal box and three back of my house and I'd like too model it. Does anyone know what magazine it was and have any advice? Thanks Andrew willsher
  13. Thanks for your input that's exactly the article I was after just downloaded it. Thanks for the other information any facts or photos are useful

  16. I wondered if anyone has details and photos of network rails class 97 I'm especially interested in the ertms equipment which is where one of the fuel tanks used to be when it was a class 37, I want to modify the kernow model to reflect the differences. Many thanks Andrew w
  17. I don't have a cutter yet but in the future is like to get one but I want to print out the destination boards for a virgin voyager on acetate black leaving the lettering see through for leds to show through orange but would someone be willing for a fee cut them out. I know there is some facility if you print marks on the paper the cutter recognises and cuts around it?
  18. I've just looked at my class 68 that enameled wire did go somewhere, it goes to diode 4 or d4 it is tiny but it's soldered tho one of the 3 terminals on the tiny diode
