  1. East Bay Plan A South Coast GWR, can handle 3 coaches. 150 cm by 40 cm. Branch heads north via 2 villages to mainline junction. Traffic; autocoach and 48XX regular service to junction B set with small prairie service beyond junction to nearest town. Sometimes has through coach attached 3-coach corridor excursion sets, locos whatever is available local pickup goods; 2251, pannier or prairie. For FY I'd use traverser maybe 80 cm long.
  2. No suitable rolling available, so no point in talking about BLTs. Right? Like heck we won't 😁 Me, I'm convinced a major player will soon enter that market. I'm interested in the space BLTs take up. Your own ideas/plans welcome.
  3. Dapol might; they do have history of taking on new areas, and they've all the data to do a number of GWR locos/coaches.
  4. Somewhere on here I put up a table of driver sizes, TT equivalent and nearest 3mm wheel. Can't find it 😒. Any ideas?
  5. What Dapol/Bachmann have is considerable experience in building small locomotives in a small scale. Also coaches. Filling the TT gap must be tempting.
  6. Huge gap in the steam branch line area just waiting to be filled. Dapol?
  7. There's a Peco video on Youtube on building the goods shed.
  8. Tried a digital vernier, sometimes checking with a micrometer, and found neither was good enough. Bought a Moore & Wright micrometer which was.
  9. Moving such a coach across the station looks easy to me. The line from the shed is not a running road so no clutter.
  10. I need a double slip to match the existing geometry. Any chance of Hornby producing one?
  11. Tweaked to include double slip, the diamond marked DS. Hornby where are you? Also includes alternative approach to platform 5, and 2 pilot spurs.
  12. Agreed. Operation is limited, but moving locos to/ from shed adds interest. I see this as for the experienced modeller attracted by a fully scenic but busy layout in a small space. Carriage sidings could be added top and bottom of the station.
  13. Red crossover allows locos from shed to reach lower platforms without using central platform. Slips would help.
  14. How are you measuring them. Top quality tools needed.
  15. Majorbrough Plan C Drops the Minories approach in favour of a more compact throat. Fully sceniced except for tunnel at RH end. 2 approach routes each served by 2 platforms, plus central shared platform. Board lengths 89, 66, 140 cm; total 295 cm. Width 37 cm rising to 90 cm.
  16. I've bought gears from here https://shop.kkpmo.com/product_info.php?info=p614_gearwheel-pinion-m0-4--- A 3mm Society member has produced 12mm gauge chasses using N20 motors with integral gearbox.
  17. Width shouId be OK as it's the same as 3mm on 12mm track; length/height might be an issue.
  18. Wot I did in 3mm with Allen's sides, except fixed the clear sides to the donor before adding the painted side i
  19. Allen is used to redesign eg holes for bearings. Reduce a 14.2mm chassis to TT and the same motor/gearbox should work as in the 12mm version.
  20. Spot on. TT can do the same sort of construcgtional modelling as 3mm. N can't.
  21. Worsley has some useful chasses http://www.worsleyworks.co.uk/3mm/3mm_Loco_Bits.htm
