Junk mail today included a reply paid envelope. Stuffed it to capacity with paper and card from the recycling bin and posted it off. Childish but VERY satisfying.

has fitted an LED to the firebox of a Hornby Terrier.

An LED and a resistor will just fit, soldered directly to the pickups at the back. The leads of the LED and resistor will go under the footplate, either side of the screw pillar. The effect isn't brilliant - it would be nice to use a decoder with a flicker function - but I'm happy proving that it can be done.
