  1. Mr Geary, It's obviously Tony's round,even I can see that.

  3. Quote robertcwp said :- The leading Thompson BSK is one of the unusual 3-compartment ones. From memory, there were only ten of them. Thompson Corridor 3 Compartment Brake Second Coach to Dia 331 were indeed a class of Ten the numbers included E154 to E158 but without looking it up I can't remember what the first or last number was. Now a Question for Robert or another knowledge able person. Am I correct in numbering a Thompson Corridor Composite To Diagram D328 as No. E146E.? Regards Derek.
  4. Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch. would be my choice but it's to hard to spell. So It has to be Conway.
  5. Would that be one of your work colleagues then Paul.
  6. Pilmoor. That means I'm agreeing with Clive. Do I ring 111 for advice. Just joking .
  7. Gilbert, can you get at the Pump and place a screwdriver against it and your ear to the handle of the screwdriver, to hear if the pump is working. The system could use gravity to heat the Hot water and the pump for the rads. Knowing when your house was roughly built, that is a possibility. ( I don't mean house was built in a rough manner!) If you can't hear the punp running a slight tap (With a Hammer) on the front may be the answer. This may or may not work. The proper way to do it is to remove the small cover and spin the rotar by hand. Since the pump has not been working for about six months it sometimes just get slightly stuck and a gentle Tap (Bang) might just be the answer.
  8. Headstock said :- An ex girlfriend's cat was called Spider though. Her surname was obviously Webb.
  9. Ketton and Collyweston as I often go there.
  10. Leighton Buzzard had it's third & fourth earthquake this month today and the BBC quoted a local model store owner Mr Anthony Rosler and even showed a photograph of him inside the shop. Good publicity and free at that
  11. Oh, so he doesn't make pegs or sell lucky heather then !!
  12. Clive stated :- Witham, Colchester, Chelmsford, and Ipswich were all places I lived and worked, in fact I lived in Derby Road, just down from the station. May we refer to you as Gipsy Clive Mortimore in future. i knew you referred to Horses but never realised they pulled your caravan around North Lincolnshire. How do you fit a model railway in?
  13. I was forced to partake by my Elders who claimed they were my Better's. The next morning my 19 years of age stood me in good stead against them at Breakfast. Never got hangovers then, but after 40 goodness me did I pay for it
  14. Leigh on Sea if only for the Beer & Cockles in 1966 whilst working at Tilbury Power Station.
  15. Tony, I agree with Roy I never saw a Black Five @ Grantham although of course an ex-Chester example 44911 was allocated to 34A for just over a year in 1958 / 1959 . I don't think she would have got to Grantham though, more likely only as far north as Hitchin.
