  1. Yes, the best solution is to clean the body and to paint it in black color. Maybe with a yellow stripe...
  2. The blue color is "Ultramarine blue" from the brand "The army painter". The real color seen by my eyes isn't really Conrail blue. My phone camera has changed the color a little bit. It's more dark and more grey in reality. Here is the real color seen with the photo of the maker.
  3. Yes a toning down with weathering or a total black paint should be the best for this period.
  4. Once the blue paint is applied, this is the result. I've tried the blue colour. I don't think it's a possible colour for the beginning of the 1960's...
  5. After some paint the trucks and the motor are installed on the chassis
  6. Yes, when you visited the layout with the S-2 🤣
  7. Yesterday was a day "off". I took more than one hour to switch my layout. I had a nice play/operating session.
  8. @Northroader Your work of removing the handrails is very good! This tank will be very nice! @F-UnitMad This tiny switcher is a very nice. I've seen it on Facebook. It can be a narrow gauge engine too. I'll be happy to have one for the standard gauge layout to serve the grain elevator.
  9. That's enough to make something very nice and well detailed in O scale. And with shortys, that's more and more better 👍👍👍
  10. I'm waiting for the result of the gondola weathering. By the way, a glimpse to Yesterday switching. My son was the driver. And a global view of the layout... Now I strongly need to make the backdrop! It's one of the first thing I have to do: the look will improve a lot.
  11. Some weathering by my son... young at work 🙂 To be continued...
  12. Today, despite the hot weather, I tried to paint the trucks sides of the Baldwin. A coat of Tamiya matt black. After a few minutes each coat of paint is dried in surface and ready for the second one.
  13. I like very much your new thread name "Route of the shortys". That's a great idea 👍 👍 👍
  14. Oh gosh. For O scale I use spray cans. It works well. But I need a specific temperature 19 to 23 °C. The problem is to find the exact colour we need...
  15. My son has started to weather the track The most difficult thing will be to find the same colours... a little challenge for him 😉
  16. Woaw! These cabooses are wonderful! What a nice collection! 😍 What's the matter with your Weaver caboose? Can we help you?
  17. I'm scratchbuilding a new structure to install on the foreground. My son would like to use more modern rolling stock. So I adapt my skills making a more modern building.
  18. Someone told me there is a chimney which must not be there. So I've put it away. The Photoshopped model:
  19. I hope all is doing well for you Dan! What about your new project room?
  20. Jordan, the new buildings on your layout look very good! That's really better like that. 👍
