  4. It's "maquett": a brand. The ref is 611-01.
  5. I still have these products. They don't match the prototype for the "old" cars.
  6. I've just took photos of the completed car (the walkway isn't changed for the moment). Now, I just need to weather it. The photos show some default to correct.
  7. Your car looks good. I think to replace the walkways but at this time I haven't found the exact model I need. Maybe in etching or laser cut card... I don't know yet. Yes, the same level of quality for all my stock. I have a dozen of PS-2 and 20 others boxcars, gondolas, etc. to detail. But it's a pleasure to do.
  8. After more work, the braking system is detailed
  9. There is a few years ago, I've used automobile primer spray to paint a hopper car in HO scale. The colour was good too:
  10. This boxcar looks very nice. The colour matches the prototype.
  11. The Tamiya paint is a "red oxyde primer for plastic and metal" spray . Military modellers use it as a realistic tank anti-rust paint. A thick plasticard jig can be easy to make and enough hard to resist to the use. Thank you. Good idea.
  12. The body before painting... And after... The Tamiya colour isn't bad. I'm glad with the result The weathering will help me more. Now, I have to find photos of the braking system to upgrade the Weaver one.
  13. Thank you Jordan! It gives me an idea! I go to make a jig with the help of a piece of hardwood like some beech or oak.
  14. Thank you. You're right. I use this trick with copper or with brass. Here the wire is hard.
  15. A little trick about how to straight the wire: I just use a wooden stick for ice cream to roll on the wire. The result is interesting: I've finished to make the grab irons on Yesterday. After that, I've protected some areas against the paint.
  16. My "problem" is: I have a dozen of similar cars to upgrade and it's a long job. I have to find a solution to make these grab irons faster
  17. Hello there! By theses days, I've started to modify one of my Weaver PS-2 covered hopper with fine grab irons. This is a lot of work but the result looks better than the original plastic thick mouldings. I use 0,6 mm blackened wire. It's strong enough to resist and fine for the eyes.
  18. The others windows are installed. 3 are replaced by concrete to let space to add a big sign for the company.
  19. Nice green on the Bobber. I can read something like "NORTHROADER"
  20. More work: the third building now... Before and after concrete treatment:
