Loco availability wasn't the best on the West of England line in 92, still it bought some interesting workings! (and some longer shifts) 33 053 London bound at Andover 1992
Thanks, wish I took more pictures back then but it was M.O.D and they may have been worried about the russians making their own 4 wheel chain driven shunters! got a few pics of the ludgershall train at Andover in 91/92 if they are of use.
yes I always thought it was Pereham, seeing as I was BR and the Army track limit took over from the old Ludgershall platforms I just went with it , never wise to argue with em, besides, they made the tea in the engine shed!
yes that set of points has gone and the short spur by the groundframe also taken out, tho to be fair I have only taken one train into that spur in 16 years!
Remember taking a pair of class 31s up there on a train, never got a picture of the toad brake van that was parked there before it was burnt out in the early 90s tho!
I used to shunt this train at Andover, UKF became KEMIRA fertilisers and switched from the PWA vans to Cargowaggons whose extra length became a nuisance on an s curve leading alongside the shed. The last time this particular track was used was 1991 due to the platform extension for 159s coming into service.

After visiting the FOD for over 25 years and several layouts from American N and Ho to British oo and back again I intend to model a small (and I mean small!) O gauge forest layout using inspiration from several locations. My first venture into 7mm so dipped my toe in with a couple of Dapol panniers and some 16 tonners (tinnun's), now to get building...
