If Rootes, I wonder what model they are? I could be horribly wrong, but those bodies look a bit like Mk1 Vivas to me.

I have tried Masokits etched chairs myself and found the jig idea used in MRJ totally pointless (if you will pardon the pun). I just followed the Masokits instructions and found no problems. From a motivational point of view, bending the etches is the hardest bit. I found that bending them as required didn't work for me. Doing all on one etch sheet together then storing the ones I didn't use for future use worked best - a kind of production line. Once they are bent up, using Masokits etches is pretty reasonable and produces some extremely robust track.

How about Fort Nevis? . I also feel the layout now need a better name. Fort Bill would seem logical for a shortened version of Fort William, but seems a bit of a cliche..

Strictly speaking, the Sutton-in-Ashfield factory was on the GN line from Langwith to Annesley and Nottingham. The MR Pye Bridge line was diverted to join the ex- GN line just south of Kirkby, rejoining the ex-MR trackbed just north of Kirkby - immediately south of what is now Sutton Parkway station. The connection to the factory was retained, using a short stub of the GN line. Some of the rails for this connection still exist in places.

I have read about several attempts to do this in 2mm and 4mm scale, but not heard of anyone making a total success of it. It would be good if this technology can be made to work.

The closest parking I have seen is in coach bays, where coach drivers deliberately block misparked car drivers in, or park so close that the car doors can't be opened at all.

It is interesting that no other wheel suppliers are breaking into the market to fill the voids. Maybe there is little money to be made - also none of the pioneering enthusiasm shown when finescale was new and exciting? Everyone, including myself expects someone else to come up with the goods these days.

Maybe they plan to do earlier GW railcar designs in the long term? Redoing the chassis just for the Farish body does seem overkill?
