Time for my wishlist to come

    Locomotives:

Class 60 - GBRF (Possibly 60095/60021 in the default livery or 60026 in the "Blue" livery)

Class 60 - Large Logo DB Cargo Red

Class 60 - EWS with the yellow headlight clusters like 60008/60075/60009 etc

    Class 60 - DC Rail (60046/60055/60039 or 60028)

    Class 87 - Caledonian Sleeper

    Class 67 - DB Cargo/Large Logo

Class 43 HST - East Midlands Trains 11 years branding.+ Mk3's with lights

Class 50 - BR Large Logo as 50038 "Formidable"

    Hi @BritishRail60062,

The Caledonian Sleeper Class 87 was announced in the 2019 rangeand it's product code is R3751.

Only my view but if Hornby announce a GBRF Class 60 it will probably be 60095 as it was the 1st one in the Livery and Unsure if the Blue 60026 will be in this annoucement due to it being released from the paint shop in the second half of this year. Also I would off sought it be very unlikely that Hornby will announce a DC Rail one this quick after release from the Paint Shop but again if they did it would be probably be 60046.

That choice of selecting running numbers would be excellent although I don't expect it. I am probably just too DRS & Class 37/6 obsessed to be buying a few to renumber as well as the standard versions haha. I mean I would be really interested to know if others are like me and like to renumber to create additional numbers/locos. Certainly though with locos that have very specific tooling alike the Class 37/6s I would bet that the MOQ for the factory to apply different running numbers to meet the customers desires could happen, just because I think these highly detailed models as well as them been produced by Accurascale will be extremely popular.

If you started offering the choice of numbers to people the company wouldn't be able to use the same numbers that are choosen unless it is stated (By product code) when the company wants another batch in the future which means that you constain the company to one batch production with potentially more options but less made overall comparing to having a batch with some numbers then another batch in the future with the other numbers. It would also affect the amount of units made due to people only being able to afford certain amount/numbered models at a particular time unless a company wants to kept a certain level of stock.

The wagons were built by Standard Wagon Co. in 1987 to carry containerised coal traffic for Cawoods Ltd from collieries across Britain to dockside terminals for onward shipping to Ireland.

Open coal containers were also used by British Fuels and CPL, with the wagons, and some were also pressed into service on trains for British Gypsum, carrying their distinctive blue containers.

We are also exploring the possibility of offering the wagons with coal, gypsum and nuclear containers and also offering these items as separate accessories.

Revolution Trains is upscaling its proposed Ecofret intermodal wagon to 00 gauge, 1:76 scale.

    Revolution 3-car Ecofret

    image.png.ea6efffc5859026879109e7e56ceb573.png

These wagons are in service with GBRf, DB and Freightliner and can be seen in blue, red and green. There are also sets running around in VTGs own, darker blue livery.

The vehicles are widely seen in intermodal trains across the network. In a break from tradition, each deck is only 40′ long. In a market dominated by 40′ sea containers, this maximises the load that any given train can carry as there is not the wasted 20′ that can be found on trains comprising older 60′ wagons.

Route map showing use of Ecofret intermodal wagons

For flexibility in use, the centre vehicle has rotating spigots in the centre allowing the wagons to carry 20′ containers if needed. The Revolution model will replicate this.

Revolution would like to thank VTG, GBRf, Freightliner and DB for their assistance in producing this model.

All wagons have continental style numbers in the format 705500336-9. On TOPS you lose the dash before the check digit, and I'll quote the last four digits so for example this wagon I will list as 3369.

Same set went up loaded behind 60039 to Acton from Westbury last night, where it was swapped for a 66. This was due to issues with the booked 66. 60039 returned light to Westbury.

Thanks very much @Steadfast for producing the whole list of the wagons used on the sand train. It is very useful information and now i know which ones i've seen to the ones that are in use for this traffic.

  7. Hi @AY Mod,

The GWR Class 158 is looking very good indeed I don't suppose you know what's on the other destination blind and also the destinatons on the blue/grey Class 121 i think one of them could be Par.

Also the low floor mechanism in the class 158 makes a lot of difference to how it looks it would be nice if Bachmann could do a similar thing to their Class 150 to incorparate a low floor mechanism on par with the Class 158 before they produce the models announced.

    Thanks,

    Samuel.

    Sad times.

Perhaps the reason why it is the most popular is because as far as i know there hasn't been any manufacturer produced the purple version with full working lights and with correct tooling.  Samuel.

Very impressed with the latest episode. Nice up close looks at a few different models and a chat about the development of Eurostar. They are improving greatly. Finding their feet now.

Hopefully they kept learning and improve this side of things. Although it has improved there seems to be still a few mistakes to learn from in there latest one for instance there was a slightly wrong announcement in the beginning of the video saying Network Rail instead of Northern Class 156 also in the running shots of the 156 they connected the two cars the wrong way.

    2. Also when did the version Bachmann is producing appear on the Padstow/ NCR Line and how long for?

    Thanks,

    Samuel.

Can someone help with the two questions i put up several weeks ago?

    Thanks if somebody could help.

I can't answer the DCC Side but I seem to recall that the Class 66 will be arriving in batches and not all in one go.

That's what I heard, already a done deal, their Freightliners.

No the ones that DB are selling is seperate from the Mendip ones being purchased by Freighliner as part of the contract they won. The Mendip ones are the /0 & /1 Variants.

The DB Class 59 are seperate and are the /2 Variants. These locomotives were originally the National Power ones which EWS brought then DB purchased EWS.

Yes I was thinking there would be something in there for Kernow to add more on top of the basic price that Revolution are offering on their webiste but at £13 more per wagon???...that's a fair hike.

I think it's more the difference in price between the Revolution and KMRC early-bird prices. Fully understand that a retailer will need to add their own margin on top, but 33% ...

Expect for the Tail light fitted ones the Kernow Exclusives are/will be the same price as the other wagons now that the only place you can order the others are at the retailers.

I have been searching online to see if these wagons runned in Cornwall and discovered the following picture on Flickr (Not Mine) and wanting to know if this is a different type of wagon to the one you are producing:

    PFA wagons - Par.

Also does anyone know what else the wagons may of been used for in Cornwall? I know they were used for a short time on Coal to Falmouth Docks but any info is welcome if anybody got it.

    Thanks,

Revolution Trains is unveiling plans to offer their IPA car carriers in 00 gauge, 4mm scale at this weekend’s DEMU Showcase in Swadlincote.

It follows repeated requests from 00 modellers asking us to upscale our forthcoming N-gauge model of these vehicles which is now in tooling.

Revolution is offering all three variants of these versatile wagons – flat twins, flat twins with side stakes and covered quads.

    image.png.cf405fe1ec9e1d563c3e4c88fb6fe5cf.png

The prototype wagons were originally constructed as twin deck single wagons in the 1950s and 1960s, however when a need was identified in the 1990s for suitable vehicles for Channel Tunnel auto traffic, hundreds were converted into twin sets and rebodied to suit the British loading gauge.

They’re still widely used across the UK linking the sea ports with car factories and terminals for both import and export traffic.

    image.png.7a8e9cbf35a4dd6811c9cb3051b3eaf1.png

The models will be to our usual high standards and feature high levels of added detail, NEM coupler sockets and be weighted to as close to NMRA standards as possible.

Once we have finalised pricing we will open the order book; the sooner we receive orders the sooner we can complete the CAD and get these models into tooling and then production.  As ever, we will only produce models if enough orders are received by the deadline.

agree about dated tooling now but for £169 this looks like a good deal considering the work.

You may want to look at the price again as it have gone upto £189.95 but then again Bachmann have put the prices up on the other 47s.

  19. Hopefully Revolution will consider releasing a VTG Blue version in the future as i have seen this variant of the JNA wagon on the national network carrying sand.  It would be a bigger bonus if they release a model with a number of the real one i seen but i know this could be unlikely as there where only 8 being used at the time.
