  1. Now says expected delivery is July/August on the Bachmann website.
  2. That is amazing. Such attention to detail and had to double take to know it was a model. Sorry if a stupid question but how did you make the electrostar?
  3. Just preordered this for the 10p but got no order confirmation. Is that normal?
  4. The difference is that this one is due in 2017 whereas the main range one won't be due until after 2020.
  5. New livery? Didn't realise the S Stock carried different liveries?
  6. Looks like the LTM has sold out of the four car pack and the lighting pack. The four individual cars are still available. Bit surprised it took them this long to sell out considering at the time I remember reading it was limited edition.
  7. The class 20, 37, 47 were all build in the 1960s and are hardly 'modern image' even if they are still in service today. The class 66 is a freight loco. What I meant in my original post is that after announcing a class 166, 450 and 319 (albeit in n), the past three years it is a shame there is no new dmu/emu this year, apart from the 150 in GWR. After Hornby announced the superb looking Hitachi 800s I feel slightly let down by Bachmann considering the nice announcements in previous years.
  8. Me too. I feel that Bachmann have rather overlooked the contemporary scene this year with the only addition a class 150/2. Maybe we'll get an electrostar by 2027.
  9. Hornby magazine have a photo on their post regarding Bachmanns 2017 range. Can be found here: http://www.hornbymagazine.com/2017/01/09/Bachmann-launches-2017-catalogue/ Hope this helps.
  10. I certainly hope this is the way the industry is heading. Just makes things more straightforward if items advertised in a year's catalogue are released that year or at the latest the year after. Also frustrating when some items appear to 'jump the queue' in that they are announced later and released earlier than other models.
  11. At least they give updates on the 158. Four years since they announced the 170 and 166 and not a single update since.
  12. Nice to see class 66 'evening star' in there. Remember it from Trainspotting live last year when Dick Strawbridge 'spotted' it in Peterborough. Good looking loco. Just hope it hits the shelves by the end of this decade.
  13. No, genuine question. Just wondering why Hornby is so much more efficient. They must do something different.
  14. Why do Hornby manage to release all or almost all of their products during the year they are announced and with Bachmann it takes years and years? Coming up on 5 years for the class 158.
  15. I understand where you are coming from but I just wonder who Hornby thinks will buy them apart from affluent collectors. I would be interested to know if there is anyone on this forum who would be willing to pay £329.99 for 2 HST power cars?
  16. Exactly. In my opinion, Hornby are just another company trying to put up prices and blaming it on Brexit. I mean £300+ for an HST set when last year's livery was around £200+ is a joke!
  17. Yes they were £153 originally and have now risen by more than £15. Quite devious if you ask me. I wouldn't even be surprised if the museum kept some stock allocation back from January in order to charge a higher price. Will probably still sell out though as they do look very nice.
  18. Hi Ben That is great news that the 321 will go ahead in FCC livery.
  19. I think that would be one of the best (and boldest) models ever made if they did. I would definitely buy two and make them into an eight car. The same goes for the First Capital Connect livery. Quite dissapointed Farish havent decided to do one in FCC as that would be more contemporary than the older Thameslink one and there is yet to be a RTR model with the FCC livery.
