  1. Beaten by The Bear.....😁 Bear here..... First Mission: get the Beary Ears lowered, then it's MIUABGAD; hopefully the Printer Cartridge will appear today and I can get some important stuff printed off at last. ION..... Heads-up Guys..... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-68966497 Hopefully it won't affect any fellow ER'ers BG
  2. Bear: Butter (ok, so it's cheapo cr@p in Bear Towers - not cos' Bear is a tightwad but because the real deal is just such a PITA to spread), Tommy Sauce & English Mustard.
  3. Assuming the drum bearings aren't shot (does the inner drum wiggle up in down inside the outer drum? - if so the bearings are fu.....er, shot) then Bear predicts the outer drum damper mounts usually at the bottom of the machine are kernackered - easy & cheap DIY fix usually; the top mounts are usually bluddygreatsprings in my experience. (edit: Assuming the machine is level and the feet correctly adjusted, of course - and the floor is solid enough). There - corrected it for you..... Bear often has Tommy Sauce on Toast (last night, in fact). Go on, live dangerously and give it a go.... There's hope for you yet. Bear will count his intake today - whilst deliberately trying to be "normal" and not fiddle the result. Added salt? Only on Chippie Chips - and they're very rare nowadays. In veg or pasta whilst cooking? Nope, never. It's a "rather fast guy" saying his fave after a race is a Pizza. With Pineapple. iD is now hyperventilating. Ben says that's a fine decision - that'll be buttered and dodge the L & T though.
  4. Heads-up Guys..... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-68966497 Hopefully it won't affect any fellow TNM'ers
  5. The food of Champions: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-68946578 'Nuff sed.....
  6. If Bear had a puddy tat and a neighbour did that then they'd sure as hell live to regret it 🤬
  7. Did it affect any Aircrew that you know of?
  8. Bear here..... Just watched a Russell Crowe film on the Big River Channel: "Land of Bad" - a US Special Forces jobbie (so lots of bullets n' missiles) with drones thrown in for good measure; truly excellent - and much better than the usual cr@p. Beary recommended. BG
  9. You'd be amazed what you can disguise and get rid of in a Wheelie Bin. Allegedly.....😇
  10. Bear here.... Today's first mission was to help buddy over the road to drop a 20ft high tree - it was a regrowth from the stump of a much bigger predecessor that was dropped many moons ago. It was rather close to a neighbours bluddygreatshed, as well as his fence so buddy pulled on the rope whilst Bear had to fight his way though the Jungle (literally) to get to it to cut it. We started at nine cos' rain was forecast at ten....and it turns up at half nine.....Turdycurses. Well wottabitchofajob that was.....mucho saw saw saw pant pant pant saw saw saw pant pant pant...... Result? Well it's down, in various bits and the shed n' fence are intact, so that's a Tick. Bear? Rather soggy indeed - both from the Sky Wee Wee and the calories (lots) burned in the process. So at 10am Bear was having a wallow, even though I'd wallowed yesterday evening. Still, mucho Brownie Points earnt in the process - and as Buddy has helped Bear out more times than I can remember (he's my helper for gettin' Harry the Honda in n' out of the shed) it's all fair's fair in this Bear's Book. Now? Din Dins time 😁 BG
  11. Good to see that a certain scrote didn't get his own way for a change - and from what I've read it was his fault too. Incidentally, Google his Daddy (other words are available) - a rather nasty piece of work who should've done time if there was any justice (it seems that his cheque book got him out of trouble on at least one occasion). Snap.
  12. I'm often amazed by how many Locos sold on Ebay that are described as "professionally built" - yet the "professional" is very rarely, if ever named. If it was described as a "runner" and it doesn't then the buyer can return it for a full refund (including postage) as "mis-described". Some sellers will refund (and if they don't then Paypal does) or alternatively some will offer a partial refund and the buyer has the option of accepting it (and keeping the purchase) or not. If the buyer is happy with the rest of the Loco then this sounds like a good option in order to cover at least some of the cost of the repair.
  13. Yummy Cake..... Yummy Bacon Sarnies. As a Big Brave Fighter Jet Jockey the Sqn. Ldr. isn't averse to a risk or two....I'm sure the presence of the odd preservative and colouring isn't gonna frighten our esteemed brave soul off a large wedge of loveliness here n' there..... .....unlike some I could mention......
  14. From the "Small Suppliers" Board on RMWeb (as posted by @hayfield): "As I am 80 this year I have finally decided to retire. So with immediate effect Nucast at Forest Row has ceased trading. All of the stock of the reissue kits I held is being passed to Brian at Branchlines who is not closing down. The future of the Nucast range has not been decided yet and is currently on hold. The moulds and casting machines are now in storage. We are unable to provide any spares or special orders from the range, or produce more stock. Please contact Brian on 01373 822231 as he's currently experiencing email problems." HTH Brian
  15. Ohhhh Daaaaave....... Bear & Puppers had you down as a fine, upstanding citizen with firm, unshakeable morals as a Defender of Great and the Good. Instead we discover that you've actually gone over to The Dark Side and sold your soul to the highest bidder, namely he who follows the darkest side of "The Big Four". Shame on you. There is still time to repent and save yourself from eternal damnation (namely inside valve gear) however.....c'mon, turn your back on the Dark Side and come over and join The Force..... Yours, Bear n' Puppers. p.s. We've got cake - and Puppers makes a pretty mean Bacon Sarnie (with posh Bacon too - none of that Supermarket cr@p).
  16. Is that what they call "Bondage?"
  17. Now that's spiteful: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-68961875
  18. Tescos? Reputable?? 🤣 I know A Bear that might just've specialised in Trials & Aircraft Integration....😉 Let's see now - no bluddy documents, no design certification, no signatories to please, no GWSO...... Sounds like a fine plan to this Bear. ION..... Bear is fully wandered... BG
  19. Oldest snafflers trick in the book - Big H is just after your cake…. Send it to Bear for safe keeping….
  20. Bear Towers fully Mickey'd. Big Tick. Now it's din dins inbound.....😁
  21. I do hope the Aircrew bought the Ground Crew a very large crate of beer for sorting that one out.... ION.... Bear is wielding Mickey the Miele yet again; Lounge & Hall done - all to Mrs @grandadbobstandards.....oh, hang on.....Bear might just be being a bit reckless there..... Now the stairs - oh joy.... BG
