  1. More cancellations due to failure. 2J63 has limped back to Norwich. His outgoing service 1K65 has been cancelled. And the knock on effect from shuffling units around means that 2P12 is cancelled and running as 1K65 instead. That means we've had a 2Rxx,2Dxx,2Exx,2Jxx and a 2Pxx all cancelled and/or failed.....do I shout full house or Bingo
  2. Its 06:22, as I type, and already 2R00 and 2D66 have failed requiring full reboots of the on board software. 2E70 failed but was then reinstated and is now running 26late and the same for 2j61 which is 17 late. Not looking good again today. Apparently the units all needed new updates but they failed to download and it's now causing all kinds of issues. Thanks
  3. You can always come over to the PSB Russ and have a tour and a brew to pass the time, beats sitting in the sudbury dock counting sheep.....or watching Netflix
  4. On the plus side..... its a great learning experience for the learners in the signal boxes as they're getting plenty of experience rescuing failed trains, sending assistance, wrong direction moves and passing signals at danger
  5. 1P15 was 745010 this morning until it had a suspension failure between Norwich and Diss. Was terminated Plt3 ipswich and running back to Norwich Low level sidings as 5P15 @60mph, currently approaching Stowmarket loop to let 1P10 pass. Thanks
  6. 2e80 has now failed at Bury St Edmonds, 755328 this time. 1Z99 Pegasus being scrambled.... Thunderbird to the rescue. Not a good day for Basils.
  7. 2 Basils have failed this morning. The peterborough unit 755422didnt make it out of colchester and 1P12 with was a 755/4 has failed at Manningtree and just been dragged back into Colchester Up loop by 1Z99 37611 Pegasus. 37 currently awaiting a runround. Just found out that 2w08 failed at stowmarket earlier this morning too, so that's 3 faulty Basils today. Thanks
  8. Possibly the worst photo ever but it was doing 60mph past the window and I thought I did well to get it and signal it at the same time 5Q99 - 66002 hauling a stanstead Express 745, unit number unknown. Edit - 745107 Thanks
  9. Just an initial restriction we believe until the first tests were done and subsequently they found they were over reacting. Though, thinking about it, I've yet to signal 1 in each direction through the tunnel. Hmmm Thanks
  10. We had this discussion last night. The cambridge service stops at Parkeston (Harwich International) and then returns to cambridge from there. As far as we know there are no plans to continue it to Harwich town, so why there? But it's just dawned on me that AGA are building their new depot on land, on the down side, between Dovercourt and Parkeston which will have a wheel laith and other maintenance services. Maybe it's in readiness for that?
  11. And here is 37800 and 755328 in the sudbury dock and plt6 respectively. Apologies for the terrible photo, really difficult angle from that window Thanks
  12. We have also had 755328 doing test runs Col-Clacton-Col tonight as 5Q28. It's now sat in the wash road awaiting a move to Plt6 for refuelling. Thanks
  13. We have 755402 doing test runs from Harwich to Dovercourt as 5Q57/58 tonight. Assuming its driver training and route clearing for the Harwich-Cambridge services. Thanks
  14. My apologies, I was told it was starting over the weekend just passed. Was given the wrong info at work. Thanks
  15. It's a lovely piece of track, but funnily enough it's the Up Goods with the Down Goods on the right of the 755. Both can be used for passenger trains but only with authority from Control, the SSM on duty or in an exceptional circumstance, with the road set throughout from Colchester North Jn (countryside) to Goods Jn (London side). Thanks
  16. You're welcome that's partly why I do post them, that way everyone can enjoy our view thanks
  17. 755337 as 5Q20 colch-clacton test train. Also we have had 745006 running up and down as 5Q92. Thanks
  18. And leaving Colchester as 1P37. Arrived Ipswich 5 early, Manningtree 1 early and arrived Colchester 2/3 mins early. Thanks
  19. After saturday night, AGA will have plenty of "5"car units spare as the Yarmouth-Lowestoft-Brundall signalling works kick off again for 20+days. Thanking my lucky charms as I'm the Ipswich man that night not the norwich man
  20. That's possibly true of the headline, click bait maybe, but it is leaked footage, this shouldn't be in the public domain yet as it's still ongoing. so, yes may look/sound embellished but accurate. That's the first time I have seen it and I work in the industry.
