  1. Phew, that was close. Just about avoided a full meltdown and demands for a parliamentary inquiry. Well done.
  2. RMweb isn't an app, it needs to work in browsers.
  3. If it were possible, which I think unlikely, it would rarely get used appropriately as what's of permanent relevance to one may not be to others.
  4. I am very sorry to hear the sad news Gareth. Our thoughts are with you and the whole family, friends and colleagues. I had many enjoyable chats with him over the years and I will remember him with fond respect.
  5. Mix in the tyre kickers I see, particularly on Facebook etc., who say they'll have it but can you wait until the end of the month when they get paid etc. By then they've decided they'll have something else instead or that all next month's money has been spoken for and think nothing of messing people about.
  6. Thanks. Nice and steady. Mine has a bit of waddle on my hypersensitive rolling road* but it's certainly not detectable on the track. * Only one RTR steam loco in the last five years has been absolutely perfect.
  7. Laira never read the instructions about not putting paint stripper in the washers.
  8. I'm incandescent with angst and bile here. I was down by the test bench and picked up a pair of tweezers and eased the handrail up 1.25864306mm and I no longer have reason to complain. I couldn't even pull it up far enough to leave a gap at the bottom. Now I have got nothing to moan about all evening to Mrs Y about.
  9. I referenced it in the first look video so I know it is a point. I have asked the question so that the impact can be assessed better. For example a dangly capacitor may not be an issue until you turn the lights on; it's all about impact.
  10. Show us a photo of the model on your layout from normal viewing distance and a normal angle to assess how much of an issue it is in practical terms.
  11. NEW MODELS UNVEILED DURING MONK BAR MODEL SHOP’S BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS On Wednesday 23rd August 2023 Bachmann Europe Plc attended the 60th birthday celebrations of Monk Bar Model Shop. Located in the historic city of York, Monk Bar has been a stockist of Bachmann products since they were first launched in 1989 and was named Bachmann Retailer of the Year in 2007. Bachmann used the event to launch two new Sales Area Exclusive Models which were on display throughout the day. Fittingly, as the models depict two Scottish prototypes, these will be available from Bachmann retailers in Scotland, the North East and North West of England, and North Yorkshire. The two models depict Scottish Class 20 duo Nos. 20048 and 20100. Both examples sport Disc Headcodes and carry the West Highland Terrier logos as applied by Eastfield Depot during the mid-1980s, where the pair were allocated. No. 20048 went on to be preserved and can now be found running on the Severn Valley Railway – again carrying BR Blue livery with West Highland Terrier logos. No. 20100 however was scrapped in 1991. Both models will be available in standard format or with SOUND FITTED and these have a RRP of £224.95 and £324.95 respectively. With delivery due in September 2023, all versions can be ordered from retailers located in the specified regions now. Item No. Description RRP Availability 35-355RJ Class 20/0 Disc Headcode 20048 BR Blue £224.95 September 35-355RJSF Class 20/0 Disc Headcode 20048 BR Blue SOUND FITTED £324.95 September 35-356RJ Class 20/0 Disc Headcode 20100 BR Blue £224.95 September 35-356RJSF Class 20/0 Disc Headcode 20100 BR Blue SOUND FITTED £324.95 September
  12. Would you mind awfully streaming footage of you watching it with your reactions? I hear it's a thing these days.
  13. Not all retailers will have had all their stock of all of the different products. Please be patient and don't go hassling them yet. They'll be sending out what they can as soon as they can.
  14. I tried to explain, in simple terms, why those who ordered earliest may not receive their model first. It now just looks like you should be specially treated. Give them time and space to do what they have to do.
  15. It would take a lot longer to sit with a pile of chronological invoices running round a pile of boxes rather than sending out all the 7801s, for example, at the front of the stacks of boxes. This way the final order gets sent out sooner and they're less likely to be sorting bits out by the time the next stuff comes along.
