  1. It may be something to do with an advert/link which you, as a Premium user, won't be getting but thanks Neil.
  2. Another user has sent me an email with a bit more substantive info of what triggered it for him which I'm looking into. However, nothing appears untoward and I think it's AVG being overly sensitive to something.
  3. Can you do a screenshot and provide the url please? As there's only one other comment and nobody has been in touch directly it doesn't look like a system-wide issue. It could be a false positive from AVG and it may only relate to external content on a page rather than it being the site itself.
  4. Brace the tender at an angle to 'level' it until set and ,yes, it would look better with real coal.
  5. Yes, cos you get all the loveliest bits to go with it.
  6. It can be down to the server cacheing - there have been periodic issues with it for a while. Basically it's down to the volume of content; pages with many images will often take a while to populate.
  7. Still going strong (No.7) here but the G5x Mk2 is for Sunday best.
  8. Stick your details in on CEX for an alert https://uk.webuy.com/product-detail?id=sdigcang5xmariia&categoryName=cameras-compact&superCatName=electronics&title=canon-powershot-g5x-mark-ii-20mp-a&referredFrom=boxsearch&queryID=e7cff7abc80ef56bf796ecbb30496e60&position=4
  9. Probably because the current model is the G7x Mk3 Simon. https://cameradecision.com/compare/Canon-PowerShot-G7-X-Mark-III-vs-Canon-PowerShot-G5-X-Mark-II After a bit if deliberation I went for the G5x 2
  10. I would suggest it's been a gradual transition from 'it's their own fault they fell out' towards 'someone is responsible for them falling out' from HASAWA 1974 onwards. Still, the "Health and Safety gone mad" mindset is a noisy one in the media and social media in the absence of their common sense to look at bigger pictures. Similar to your relevant list of fatalities that take headlines there are similarities with the motor industry where a local individual fatality barely merits a mention whereas a multiple pile-up on a motorway with fatalities and delays hits the news. Fatalities have been substantially reduced over the decades; mainly due to traffic management and planning and vehicle safety systems more than the individual nut behind the wheel - I don't think there's a regulator involved there but at least there is for rail and air.
  11. For god's sake just stop it; you've just got to keep needling a situation.
  12. The thread was locked because you persisted in kicking the person you refer to. I was trying to show a more open-handed approach to the person concerned to evidence that the topic had validity but you just caused further work and aggravation to others with the clumsy approach and then decided you wanted to argue with me about the approach taken. You've linked to this topic from within the same topic and further needle me. The other topic was closed because of your adamant approach, not because I have any agenda whatsoever within the topic itself. One person was removed because of their silliness, the OP wished he'd never started it and you just wanted to use it as a playground. I was so damned frustrated with it all, and you. I'll remove your access to this topic too so that we don't have a re-run - as said I don't have time for it.
  13. I am not in the mood to start the week off with arguments or further explaining myself and I have other things I have to get on with today. That's it. Locked.
  14. I doubt it but isn't such an isolating and derisive stance in that comment what we would accuse an opponent to the topic doing?
  15. He's not been offensive (like someone else has) but, if there are contributions from others, may begin to understand a bit more about why it's important to many. Tolerance should work both ways on this one.
  16. Right. I am now having my Sunday evening taken up with dealing with reported posts and the reports by those with opposite viewpoints and I could really do without that thank you. Behave or bebanished.
  17. I have no problems in the topic being posted; there are many modellers, albeit a minority percentage, who are LGBTQ+ and I would hope that sensibilities and civilities can prevail. If anyone starts invoking accusations of wokism they'll have access removed.
  18. The benefits of that are to both the customer and the publisher without the margin for the retailer plus improved budgeting and cashflow. I wouldn't wish to deprive the smaller independent retailers of fair margin and reward but customers may be surprised at the ounce(s) of flesh larger chains and supermarkets lean on publishers for.
  19. Generally, you may have to select different date maps to catch 'em all as they had different life spans.
  20. All publishers have been trying to swallow rising costs for ages so it's a case of balancing the books. A snap decision makes it look like you wouldn't care if it's there in the future.
