  1. I've got a few of 8 (aka 08 shunter), what about lower than that?
  2. Well when I finish and exhibit my layout if I'm trying to chat to people about it at a show I wouldn't really like hysterical, screaming kids running up and down the aisle. The hobby needs a future if it is to continue, but one should still keep their children under control.
  3. Up the Junction - Squeeze
  4. This is my strong point, hee hee. If the Ravenglass and Eskdale is allowed, then so also should the Severn Valley Railway. T time.
  5. Everybody Out There - Paul McCartney
  6. London & North Eastern Railway A4 no. 4468 Mallard, in the NRM. Damn! Keith beat me to it.
  7. I'll be visiting the real Carrog sometime in the next few days. If I get some pictures, do you mind if I post them on here Larry?
  8. Tell me about it. One of the catering outlets last year was trying to flog pulled pork baps for something like £5.50, and another had some not-so-appetising fish and chips. Take my advice, bring a packed lunch! I live only about 25-30 minutes drive away from the NEC, so wouldn't need to worry about a hotel but as the hotels are right next to the airport they probably tend to be quite expensive so I reckon exhibitors if they can just don't bother and prefer to drive home. Though last year one of my pals got a pint of this 7.6% cider from Spoons and appeared to be enjoying it, even if it did take him ages to finish!
  9. Anyone heard of the Rhiw Valley Light Railway in mid Wales?

Teleporting, or telepathy. If it's the latter, then we wouldn't need fora such a this, cos we'd all know what each other was thinking, which really wouldn't be good in most cases :O

Rhiw Valley is near to Llanfair Caereinion.......

  10. Perhaps we could strike up on an agreement with Spoons where they provide the beer and snacks for a small fee; extra income for them, and we might encourage more people to join.
  11. And here's the Lowland sleeper ready to depart Euston, December 2016. And the next photo will have the Caledonian sleeper somewhere between here and Crewe.
  12. How about following the route of a titled train, both old and modern photos accepted? We could start with an easy one, say 'The Flying Scotsman'. Or if it's easier a sleeper train?
  13. Ride On - Jimmy MacCarthy
  14. Not really of Gillingham, but of the area around Blandford Forum where some relatives live. Are you familiar with Dorset then?
  15. That was probably something to do with that Blue Pullman. Did you come on Saturday?
  16. If the operator was wearing a reddish coloured jumper then I was probably responsible for the error!
  17. Chippenham, in Wiltshire. Swinderby 'box (Lincolnshire), on the Newark to Lincoln line.
  18. Another big piece filled in - Lancashire. This is Euxton, just south of Preston.
  19. Beattock, Dumfriesshire. I can think of a few more shires north of the border (hint hint)
  20. Highley (Shropshire) on the SVR. As far as I know not taken yet. Are we allowed to head north of the border for shire counties?
