If you don't want to run it on DCC just take the electronics out and connect the pick ups to the motor, should then run fine. If you want the lights you will need to create a new lighting circuit. Keith

That looks more like one of the mobile railguns intended for firing from the rail, google on "railway guns". Gunset wagons were substantially smaller and usually had one heavy duty wagon to carry the but and a lighter version for the thin end. There were quite a range of such wagons pre-group to carry gunbarrels to the shipyards. Keith edited the google search term, apparently railgun is now something else altogether. Keith

That should read "Some Garratts", perhaps even "Most Garratts" but Derby did insist on the standard midland 8' +8'6" wheelbase, and since the whole railway was built to suit locos with that wheelbase it was not an issue for them.
