  1. I don't think he sees the header as part of the description, just a string of letters designed to get into the maximum number of searches. In his actual description he calls it "Excellent used" which I would not argue with, it would probably raise 30 or 40 in an auction. Keith
  2. Cambridge custom transfers may have them. Note that the majority of bauxite vans were just piped rather than fitted, the guard was expected to look at the pressure gauge and apply the handbrake if needed. Regards Keith PS. Didn't see them in the Cambridge list but Modelmaster have them as sheet 4615
  3. Whether you use the kit roof or a replacement do note that the kit roof has the chimney and vents in the wrong places, effectively a mirror image of what they should be, the chimney is a bit small also and best replaced with a bit of tube, so can be repositioned at the same time. Keith
  4. Best not to approximate to much here or you may end up changing more than needed. The prototype 6ft is between the outsides of the rails not the running edges, and also assumes a gauge of 4'8.5", rails are 2.75" wide so the scale track centres work out to 11' 2", near enough 45 mm so the 24 mm in your sketch should be 28 mm which makes the 30 mm you are using rather more accurate. Regards Keith
  5. Below is the requirement for flashing signals from the current Railway Group Standard, it allows the light to be invisible for up to 50% of the time, Such an aspect can only be considered to not display an aspect when the flashing rate changes to the point where that time is exceeded. Regards Keith
  6. Really? Is there anything in the standard that requires a flashing aspect not to go completely out? Keith
  7. One single such coach sold the other day for about 370 in an actual auction sale, so he is not out of line on this one. Keith
  8. It would have been earlier, but the whole area has been regenerated and the canals revitalised and it is now a popular destination, check it out on Google street view. Keith
  9. Sure, but he has put up a good set of photos, between the 3 Ns and the Z I would say 2 are EM, one probably P4, and the third does not have a good enough pic of the wheels and chassis to make a call.Good bit is, the doubt may keep the price down, so if you have a bit to invest, buy measure, advertise properly and you should profit, mind you they are already going past my budget. Regards Keith
  10. The Coachman's work can certainly attract the punters, and 3 days still to go. Keith http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Larry-Goddard-LMS-3rd-corridor-coach-D1782-Period-II-fully-lined-/300804148262?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item4609530c26
  11. Her's another take on Padstow, under a pseudonym but the buildings and track alignment recognisable as similar to yours. http://www.scalefour.org/layouts/exhibstmerryn.html Regards Keith
  12. "Kit built", Weathered, and MIB, all at the same time Keith
  13. Whilst I am impressed by the digital manipulation, the train should not be arriving, or even standing there with the points set against it. So maybe manipulate with the digits before doing the digital manipulation.Regards Keith
  14. Not only does the pantograph raise and lower, it is also completely invisible! Keith
  15. Not to mention the £8 postage. Keith
  16. Perhaps its the professional weathering and distressing job? Keith
  17. I thought that niche was already taken. Keith
  18. You could probably get a 1:1 version from the scrappers for that. Keith
  19. Only seems to worry the powers that be nowadays if they are tickets to the olympics.Keith
  20. Not much effort though considering its just a direct copy from wikipedia. Keith
  21. That railcar looks to be bashed from the Triang coaches. And Yes, Kitmaster did do their coaches in TT, much better than the Triang ones, and Kitmaster also did the Royal Scot. Keith
  22. Well worth the starting price, the Masokits chassis is 12.50 on its own, the Parkside plastic kit must be at least another 8 then you get the wheels. I haven't built one but other Masokits items I have i would recommend. I think this chassis kit was commissioned for Pendon originally. There is a review in MRJ No.76 Regards Keith
  23. His UK shipping price is hardly "economy" either. And looking at the loco wheels I would say rather more than minimal use. But it's a collectors item that's his business. For a modeller then the new Hornby M7 is far better.Keith
  24. The number of potential customers must be drastically reduced by offering them in one lot. I would think a much better chance of making his price by selling individually with an attractive starting price to encourage bidding. But its sellers choice. Keith
