  1. As a matter of note, mine in the photo is an O scale 1/48 K-Line (EP-5 for those unfamiliar with NH's locomotives) three-rail one that was converted to two-rail. I have been told that the K-Line one is every bit as good as the Overland(?) brass one and runs extremely well. I also have a three-rail one that proved itself on a friend's layout. Unfortunately, they both have the same road numbers. Another NH motor that I have, an EP-3, this one a cast bronze beast by Baldwin Model Locomotive Works: The wire is to hold the lid on as it is separate from the body during shipping; really makes doing an work ion the interior very easy. Although not NH but an E. P. Alexander cast bronze Pennsylvania GG1: The drive:
  2. But you chose to model a great US railroad!
  3. Is not that which separates your yard from my yard?😉
  4. If the side thickness of a prototype boxcar (or any other for that matter) were scaled down accurately, the model's side would be microscopically thin, maybe only a few molecules thick. So Dapol came real close to getting it right this time! 😉
  5. I have a similar feeling about the USS Kitty Hawk (CVA-63) as I served on her on a WestPac cruise. Not as ship's company but deployed aboard with Reconnaissance Attack Squadron 6 (RVAH-6) as part of the line crew. Fond memories!
  6. No, but she is a fine looking ship!
  7. Back to first toy/model trains, mine was a Marx (three-rail O gauge) New York Central "Commodore Vanderbilt" 0-4-0 (the real one had a few more wheels😸) that had two speeds; hypersonic and stopped!
  8. I think that you left a very important "not" out of that statement. At least you were successful in your request.
  9. I have seen YT videos of US prototype ones actually blowing snow on a G scale garden railroad; very impressive.
  10. Actually, pulled pork is quite delicious and usually made into sandwiches. PS: I want on of those trucks in a 1/48 O scale version!!
  11. I just looked, 740+ listing; most all scales but not all are models, some are photos.
  12. I have two in front of my as I type this. The black one is stock MTH RailKing and the boxcar red one is mostly MTH but bashed together from several sources: Lionel may also have made one. Athearn (HO) had one (may still have) in their product line for many years; I have one of those, too, somewhere.
  13. We really heed a "?" rating symbol.
  14. The "end-of-day" cat is not a tortoiseshell, they have no white in their coloring: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tortoiseshell_cat "She" is a calico: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calico_cat I point this out as I was corrected several times shortly after adopting Raindrop and calling her a tortie!
