  1. Here we go one of many posts to get up to date!

Battled the lift out over the tunnel! Dremel cut the 009 track where it left the lift out board to exit behind backscene.
Oh dear! Failed to note how wide the disc was. Cue track removal rewire etc etc copper clad purchased and relaid track and test and remove to much solder until trains ran!

Tunnel lining was glued in and seams of lining paper disguised.
Below lift out section foam boarded on bottom for more sound deadening and power push connector installed.

  2. Mine just auto renewed! I’ve turned it of now which you can’t on the app it appears. Useful for anyone else.

I enquired how to do it.

    email received pasted below.

    Hi Adrian,

    Thank you for your email!

To stop your Pocketmags online auto-renewable subscription from renewing, please login to www.pocketmags.com, navigate to ‘My Pocketmags’ > ‘My Subscriptions’, and then click ‘Cancel’ next to the relevant item.

If an item displays ‘Renew Subscription’, auto-renewal is already disabled for that magazine.

    Warm Regards,

    John

There is an option to turn off ads now for £12.00 a year I believe, but I’m yet to do it due to disposable income on hold this winter!

  3. By the time I came to update the thread we had the whole server crash thing and photos lost for good it now seems.

Fortunately I duplicated the thread on Western Thunder. So until I can be hacked to replace the photos.

    Everything is here .

    https://www.westernthunder.co.uk/threads/lellizzick-quay-a-ncr-backwater.9965/

PS you need to be a member otherwise you just see thumbnails.

Ok 18/12/2022 paid my £12.00 to go premiership member. Must say it’s a game changer and shouldn’t of been so tight and done it earlier, but the ads did pee me off particularly the video ads you had to kill to see anything! So I’ve decided to bit the bullet and re upload my thread photos.

  4. Few more photos have returned to pages mid thread but not many though.

Until I can be hacked to spend hours putting them back, I luckily duplicated the thread on Western Thunder.

If you want to look back, ( I know highly unlikely 😆) look here.

PS if you’re not a member you’ll only see thumbnails .

    Morning Ade

    Thanks!

My pictures are all backed up here but they have reference numbers generated by a combination of the camera that I used and Lightroom, which I use to process and catalogue images (photography is my other hobby, although you wouldn't know it from some of the pictures that I post!).

So the main issue for me is the sheer volume of images and the time it takes to match them to each post; so far, probably about 6 hours for 300 pictures.

Nevertheless I agree that if the thread is to be a record of the layot for me, and perhaps an occasional reference for others, then it just doesn't work without the pictures.

    Tony

So far as all my threads are complete over there on WT I haven’t felt compelled to update any of my on here with photos

6 hours cricky that’s some undertaking with twice that to go! Did you mention 1000 photos here?.
I’d say your doing yourself a miss service your photos are extremely good.

  6. As an avid if silent follower of this lovely thread or is it topic! I get mixed up.

I’m glad your not only finding the photos but taking the time to put them back.
As Martyn says it’s/was a great resource and research tool. One that Goofle does throw up, but with photos gone on those threads it lends little to what your looking for in most cases.

I was lucky in that I duplicated my threads on Western Thunder so it’s all there.

I have few looking in as it’s early days in modelling for me. But still if your a member (you only see thumbnails if not) it’s good for a back up. Even if mine was more luck than judgment!

Perhaps the layout I was most impressed by was Meldon West - a fictional/alternate reality of the real Meldon.
Why was I so impressed by this layout? It was absolutely tiny (being N gauge) yet looked as though it was a much bigger scale when you got close! I'm still baffled how @NGaugeTom managed to pull it off!
For the rest of the photos, see here.

A nod to Meldon, very nice and as you say unbelievable for 2mm !

I’m doing Meldon too! But 4 years in its nowhere but track! So I’ve commissioned the buildings to try and get somewhere with it.

    Great photos as ever Jam…
