  1. Do you folks think the work plates on the class 16 would have been painted over? would they have been moved to the sole bar like the class 22 Where can i get these work plates? BW B
  2. I thinking at the moment about he North British work plates on the Class 16 post repaint......question 1...do you think it should be retained? 2...should it be clean and painted blue 3 should it be moved as it was on the class 22 to avoid problem with the numbers Where would best to source NB work plates....i tried Shawplan but can't see them BW B
  3. Thanks John, That's a good point...i'd seen the class 15 at Stratford a few time and it was clean but i suppose that was because it wasn't moving under it's own power. I do remember that not all Stratford 31,37,47 were that clean when at Liverpool street. The guy repainting this loco is told me he will use class 20 photos for reference and i'll be interested how he individualizes his weathering technique. B
  4. Arhhh...don't think so......your going to have to go some to beat them but if you do Garys going to be a real trouble in his box:)
  5. Thanks Ron, but what why should I keep the Lenz after this upgrade rather than spend the money on say a prodigy wireless for £350...It a serious question...what make Lenz worth keeping? B
  6. Everybody who's got one of these seems to love them and there is a lot of you out there:)...I wonder if Kernow have made a wagon load of cash?
  7. Hi Ron, So let me get this right.........I send back my LZV 100....only ( which i bought as part of set 100 for £249).......just my LZV100...not together with LH100....and in return i pay 250 euro and get the LZV200? 1....what so good with LZV200 that i would pay another £250 for it........whithout a new handset. I can't see this being a good deal at all at all.....i'm i missing something here? BW Brenn
  8. Spurs were always going to find this a game to far Ajax will win the CL....hungry young things always have there day...get your money on them now!!
  9. Thanks Roy...i'd seen this but didn't realize it was O gauge, to an extent this is what has fired me up to get this long held wish finally under way. B
  10. That's an interest looking loco....I wonder if anyone done a DP2?
  11. Clive they'd look so much better with domino dots don't you think;)
  12. Thanks J Interesting....this is just the kind of information that is very useful in making a decision about how these loco will evolve....Jim always listens to Scotty....i think i will too.
  13. yes....i have 2 of those Hornby babys but they are not a fitting model these days....I'm going to give this treatment to the Dapol 21 and 29 when i get my hands on one....soon hopefully coz they been a lonnnnnng time coming:)
  14. i'm repeatedly going off you Gordon:)...Chelsea and Spurs top 4 indeed!!....we ave been total nonsense for the run in, but still games to go. B
  15. stop Hazzard Mu win dont and they lose......can't type about us now...shocking!!
  16. Why are the headcode lights so different....the one on the right looks right.....on the left is wrong......has any adjustments been made or are they off the selves models?
  17. That's the thing is it not..were all spent time when we got the bug of standing at a station, cutting, where ever... wishing to see a certain loco, train and it never came.... A large logo deltic with white FP cabs would look great as i think as would large logo on most BR diesels. BW B
  18. What do you think Chard?....given you can do what you want to? BW B
  19. Don't know hadn't thought about that.......but i guess the freight locos wouldn't have ETH fitted anyway, but would they have had it fitted if used for carriage heat stock transfer trains......I suppose it a debate given these are what if loco's BW B
  20. Hi john, Well it's underway now class 16 will be the first but i plan to cycle though the fleet of loco's ( 14,15,21,22,23,29,35,41,42,43,77) I've collected for this purpose. some will require just renumbering and domino dots and other will get a full repaint but all will get TOPS numbers with data panels and shed/coupling codes. Weathering will be another issue, which is why i really appreciate as much involvement from forum members as possible to formulate my vision of how these loco would/should look like in the late 70s/early 80s. Would they be faded blue, heavily dirty, cleanish? What photos can be used for reference? Class 20s are to be used for the 16 but i'm sure we're all aware the difference and look greatly differed depending on region and work preformed....it's a mine field for a hypothetical vision of a loco. So i'd really appreciate any photos for reference, any ideas for debate, any input you may think can help achieve this vision of a world of what if BR blue domino dot ruled the rails. Thanks Brenn
  21. If Brighton play like they did against Spurs ( eg only in their own half) you got no chance of a favour
  22. yeah they blew the bubbles......like Wolves with us the other night better team on the day....and Spurs will drop more points....Great run in this...and Chelsea win will bang them in with a change of 3rd too
