  1. Cheaper direct from the suppliers for some sizes: http://www.reallyusefulproducts.co.uk/uk/html/onlineshop/goshopping.php
  2. That answered a question I had aboutvwhat chips people are using in these
  3. HNRC turned up while I was at work and so far it's intact. No mean feat seeing that a) it's Heljan and b) there is a mass of fine detail on it. What a stunning model straight out of the box. Model of the year?
  4. Wow. Does look a stunning model. The yellow really brings out the details yet avoids being garish. Fingers crossed for my HNRC
  5. ... and i think that's exactly what many will do
  6. I'd be pretty hopeful that if it's in a wagon, it could easily be transferred to a coach, though this does beg the question why not release it as a stand alone chip and speaker
  7. You might find some item has sold out. Happened to me previously - ordered with "more than 10 in stock" but then got the same message you did. When I rang I was told that there were none to follow and the order was cancelled.
  8. Kernow have announced a further run of sleepers with different running numbers
  9. Don't hold your breath. As the Hawks gather on eBay to swipe a bargain, they'll drive up the price.
  10. Hi Dave, Is that a DLR unit you're working on in your avatar?
  11. Already happened with Hattons selling the Olivia's stock, not least the otherwise exclusive Olivia's EM1/EM2. Quite reasonable to think there may be reciprocation in the future with the 66. And how about Rails commissioning Hattons to do a l/e 66???? Interesting times ahead
  12. Chaps, to save me scrolling through 37 pages, was it the DLR train? And were there any BR blue d&e?
  13. Kinda explains why the number of limited edition 66's have recently come through. I wonder when we'll see the large Logo 66 and on what model
  14. Hornby still have the 101 and 121 in their range, so if they did a nice DMU sound for these, how many of us would also buy it to bolt into the Bachmann DMU's?
  15. The ifs and buts of funding models seems to be across several threads now with much speculation, I guess much of it unfounded. I can understand the APT guys having questions to ask, but as the 74 is on hold for now, perhaps time to put this thread to rest with questions on crowdfunding better directed to the general section of the forum and give Dave a bit of break from monitoring this?
  16. Perhaps its NOT 29 cancellations. That would be more of a surprise
  17. Thanks for your answer Dave. Good luck with matters. Onwards and upwards!
  18. If i bought a model that had had such a lame renumbering as it seems, Id' be expecting the price to come DOWN £60. It seems odd that another run (after the limited edition) was commissioned with exactly the same running numbers? Or are these unsold returns from the first batch? Apologies if this has already been discussed.
  19. Yes, sorry if I misunderstood you, I agree. I think a further concern for DJ and the others may be what happens to the items he's already bought, such as the CAD. Would China hand it over to him, rights and all? Or flog it off to another manufacturer? I suspect we all know the answer. Like you say, its a different culture and they operate differently.
  20. Not quite sure that I agree that having a model (not) made in China leaving me out of pocket is something that i have to "accept". The contract I make is with the UK supplier. I can accept a cancellation, but being left out of pocket, not so.
  21. This picture is from facebook showing the new model with the revised running number. Not the clearest photo, but it looks rather .. er.. ‘iffy’
