Absolutely nothing to do with the car company or the Taff Vale...
Modern Image GWR set in Worcestershire location, the TVR models a fictional single track branch line. The backstory goes something like:
- A coal company creates a line to serve colliery
- 1923 grouping makes it part of the GWR
- BR Introduce passenger services as they see potential
- Privatisation takes it into the First Great Western franchise
- Preservation society founded - runs heritage services
It's modelled in more-or-less 2020-present, with mostly GWR class 158s and class 153s transferred from EMR. Castle HSTs operate on the route (or will do when I can find some suitable coaches!) and the preservation society runs as well...
Now, 'Rivet-counters' (which I am not) would have a field day poking at all the issues with it! The track layout's not realistic, the preservation society operates locos that in reality were all scrapped... But I run on the principle that it's MY railway, so I can run what I want! That said, I will (and do!) try to make it as realistic as possible in other areas.
It's my first layout ever, and if for some strange reason you want to you can find my YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLLL46RwQxjcc_vXkY8p8AA
Also, this is my first time attempting something like this on this forum, so please bear with me if this doesn't work!
