  1. Anyone else's Torquay bad at crawling under Analogue? (running with Gaugemaster combi) Mine doesn't like it and just cuts in quite fast. Might be better under DCC but havent fitted it yet! Cheers
  2. The first of my two Manors arrived today - after my 7802 being cancelled I ordered 7800 to convert into 7802. 7800 arrived today - and it's superb - running in DC, haven't fitted it yet, it's very smooth with superb detailing - however it does slow down around 3rd radius curves and up the slight incline. All in, though, a new favourite loco! Just got to wait on Erlestoke now!
  3. Or a control room with no controls! https://uk.Hornby.com/products/class-31-control-room-chair-x9532
  4. It's no longer called a cab, folks. https://uk.Hornby.com/products/class-31-control-room-partition-r2421-x9531
  5. Why the heck would anyone pay £196 for this?! https://www.hattons.co.uk/1403483/bachmann_branchline_32_377ds_po10_class_37_0_37034_in_br_blue_weathered_dcc_sound_fitted_pre_owned_body_of_32_/stockdetail
  6. And the fact that it's not an HST - only a Cl43 power car and a mk2! (and its stationary, so maybe HST means Highly Stopped train?!)
  7. I don't know, don't ask. But if you want to pay £30 each for these lumps of tat, fire away! It looks to me like two Hornby pocket rockets. One with the bunker cut off and replaced with that of a 2721 class, and the other with a Lima tender drive unit attached. Funnily enough, both tender and loco had working motors in!
  8. And apart from the title being rather inconclusive, who'd want to pay the best part of £40 for a damaged split chassis loco?! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/195851219586
  9. Title seems a little confused... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/204386470100
  10. This is very interesting - I own a RR HST and am looking to make it more realistic - particularly in the lighting department. This has provided plenty of useful information, thanks! Best Wishes
  11. Now that's something I'd like to see - a class 20 with dreadlocks! (also how do I quote a post properly?)
  12. Hadn't seen that version - I don't think it's a repaint. Glad I could be of help! Best wishes
  13. It's a good runner tbh, better on DCC. Be aware, though that a standard Bachmann 8 pin decoder won't fit in the body. Very smooth, although at slow speeds it can be coggy. It's also very loud! Didn't know they did an HNRc one - a repaint? Best wishes
  14. Well scrap that about no images, here's an image of my Bachmann 08.
  15. Having recently finished GCSEs, I've now got a whole lot of time on my hands to do work on the railway... I've started now to construct some ScaleModelScenery kits I've had in my kit box to build for a while... These including billboards, departure boards and all kinds of other little details. I've also removed that horrible paper/card platform, which I plan to replace with a new platform using the same/similar technique as used on the Oak Road model railway. No photos today, but I'll hopefully have some next time!
  16. Just seen this over on the Hornby Forum: https://uk.Hornby.com/community/forum/0-6-0-chassis-quality-355782?ccm_paging_p=1#end-of-replies
  17. Hi there, I really like the platforms here, and i'd like to try something similar on my layout - how did you construct them please? (Fairly certain you've answered this question before but I couldn't find the right post!) Thanks and Best Wishes
  18. I had the pleasure of seeing this at Ludlow, fantastic layout!
  19. Back again with another update.... Been working on the area surrounding the track into the depot (see images posted in post below) and making hedges - they're a real faff to do so I try to save them up so as to make them all in one batch. If you'd like me to do a video showing how I make them on my YouTube channel, let me know and I'll do one! So, with the hedges completed I need to get some fence gates (preferably of the modern galvanised version) from somewhere. Tempted to design something in CAD and get it 3D printed by a mate - living in the heart of the Worcestershire countryside there's no shortage of prototype material! Again, if anyone knows of a suitable product please do let me know! Thanks for the continued support of the layout! Best wishes
  20. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/145060268512 and of course also https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185917298949? not sure they're really worth that much! And one of them can't count either!
  21. Yesterday's update: Added some temporary black fascia to the small hillside by the townscene (see images) and fixed some peeling details. I've also attached an image of what I did the day before with the field and road section. Cheers folks!
  22. A new update... How lucky you all are! Since the last one the only bit that has changed is I've added a new footpath crossing by the farm and a field in in-between the farm crossing and the track leading to the depot, and removed the horrible depot in preparation for a 3D printed version coming soon. I've attached any photos I can find. And today's work consisted of adding a field at one end of the stone terraced cottages. Thanks for reading folks!
  23. Well, it's american, so there's a fairly good chance of it being EMD! 🤣
