  1. I suppose it helps that there is a heck of a lot more room in the States too. I have now formed an idea to whom the "Mystery Person" could be Is it The J*******?
  2. Morning all Just A bright warm start here today. Had a bit of a lie in today done a load to the tip. Now taxi ing the Mrs around. Some co*kwomble has dug through the cabled connecting the Drs surgery to power and internet so Swmbo can't re order prescription for youngest.
  3. @monkeysarefun when I did my glider training with the air cadets In powered gliders we had a little flip chart about the size of a reporter's notebook with pre flight checks in it to go through. The Gliders were Grob Vigilants iirc they had a VW engine Happen @Dave Hunt had similar on Phantoms etc?
  4. @polybear last time I looked cooking oil was nearly the same price as diesel
  5. He would get to the front of the layout pretty quickly though.
  6. Andy I saw your work at the Leeds show on Sunday its fantastic. I didn't get chance to talk to you about it as you were busy trying to get the crane to work properly. Would love to see it on baseboards
  7. Afternoon all Been a Make it up day. Whilst Lisa had her appointment me and the apprentice took Pebbles the dachshund to pets at home for a look, there were 2 more dachshund puppies in there going to the in store vets for 2nd jabs. We then called at the Model shop at Outdoor I managed to pick up a 2nd hand Glasshoughton coke wagon. I have been on the look out for one for a while (my Great grandad was the chemist there). Next we went to a chippy we had used before always nice but this time they were awful. The chips were black and looked like they had been fried in Castro GTX. We then took Lucas to see my Mum and Dad its the first time they have seen Lucas since he was a baby. We spent 5 minutes watching folk picking pumpkins at Farmer Copley s through the back window. We spent 45minutes there then come home for tea
  8. Morning all from a sunny Wakefield, her ladyship has an appointment this morning early doors so here we are. @Erichill16 was it Inverkeithing you spent a lot of time watching? We did And the guy with the Hunslet diorama. Lucas also liked the O gauge US shed in the foyer near Wentworth especially the Big Boys.
  9. When is it and where? I had a blue body warmer on and crutches
  10. Caroline Quentin presented a series Restoration Home iirc that has been repeated a couple of times that was good. There was another one fronted by Simon O Brien can't remember the name but that was good too My dream derelict home was the title
  11. In case of power cuts I have bought a couple of extra blankets a load of tea light candles and a couple of lanterns to put them in for safety reasons and a couple more power banks to keep mobiles charged as we only have a phone line for data. I have a couple of packets of lightsticks and a rechargeable torch and some batteries for the radio
  12. I have done something to my left shoulder it doesn't half hurt. Some ibuprofen gel has been rubbed in by myself. I never saw Andy Pandy on tv but i did have a load of the books when I was little. I have finally seen one of those resin 3d printers on YouTube. I had seen the filament type with the strimmer wire. It was quite surreal watching a HO footbridge appear Terminator style out of the gloop
  13. Muffing the mule on a friends tv?
  14. @Barry O yes we did enjoy the show Thank you. Although it was busy I could get around ok on my crutches and could get to see the layouts. @Erichill16 we were there at a similar time so our paths may have inadvertently crossed.
  15. Imho Dr Who went downhill when each episode was a standalone story. Although I did like Christopher Ecclestone and David Tennants portrayal of the Dr. I didn't like Matt Smith
  16. I couldn't take my eyes off her legs to be honest
  17. Jossys giants I remember them once training with bin bags under their football tops. Superted and Bananaman and Dangermouse. My favourite was Rentaghost. We weren't allowed to watch Grange Hill
  18. The Dash for gas has a lot to answer for. It's ok when there is plentiful supply from the North Sea. But when most of Europe's supply is under the control of an out of control dictator (other words can be exchanged) things go badly wrong.
  19. It has dried up this afternoon we even got a bit of sunshine. There is a mist brewing up on the school playing field. It looks like something out of a horror film. The knees are aching a bit now a combination of the cold and damp and a perambulation around the Leeds show.
  20. Seeing the grave of the Great escape victim reminds me of my first cadet camp at RAF Newton. It was then home to the RAF Police training school. We had a tour round the "Black" museum there was a large exhibit on the investigation into the Great escape murders. It still sticks in my mind 30+ years later. One or two of them were shot on a road that became part of Ramstien Airbase
  21. Afternoon all I can confirm that the BBC playschool toys are enjoying a retirement at the Media Museum or whatever it is called these days in Bradford as we saw them a few years ago. Myself and the apprentice took advantage of the poor weather to visit the Leeds show I did see @Barry O operating on Wentworth but he was busy so I didn't distract him.
  22. At the council we had to reverse in to the TLS (transfer loading station) it was unnerving reversing from daylight into near darkness. It greatly improved my reversing skills
  23. 9Just ordered a Chinese. The rather fetching young lady behind the counter wearing sprayed on shorts made me forget what to order
  24. I also have to look at getting a new set of stepladders the one I have is getting rickety o am looking at getting a set of fibreglass ones instead
  25. We have had a busy day doing electrical work in the garage. We have put on an unswitched socket for the power to the new door. Trunking has been fitted too. We have a socket to replace that is on order for delivery tomorrow. We would have got everything done today but we had to keep the power on for the Boss to use the washing machine
