  2. welcome folks to anyone whos reading this! I had another chance to get in the paintshop today and have started to weather the b17 its only first stage and now needs all the decals putting on which I may get chance to do on thirsday at some point! anyway just took a couple of pics sorry about the lighting but did not have time to set the lamp up!
  3. well just had a bit of time this afternoon to shoot some base black on to the B17 it will need a slight rub down before another coat then it will get some weathering & decals! anyway took a couple of pics!
  4. just a quick photo update just got the b17 into grey primer today! a little bit of tidying up to do and then shoot some black paint over the body and tender! anyway here`s the pics!
  5. yep thats normal! must have been magic seems strange how many people are going to buy it!(the new RTR one that is) this one I did is now running in the USA !

  10. cheers martin! glad someone liked it!!! thanks for the kind words it was not an easy one to do but a few people helped & my dad had alot to do with the chassis work! so this one was just a bit of bodywork and paintjob for me this time round,also a few people helped here on rmweb with a few ideas in the early stages so a big thanks to them! captain and co! I have another one sitting here ready for conversion but going to do a different build up this time hopefully with more modern running gear! and hopefully added detail,but this will be started after I complete my B17!!!!! now thats not any ordinary B17 either but people will have to wait for that one to apear!! I have another 9f ongoing currently. when I get time I will post up some more updates with new blog and pics! thanks again for the all comments. cheers ian.

  12. well sorry for the lack of updates been very busy - but just thought id put a final pic up on the garratt this has now gone to run in the USA !!!!! yes folks im not joking so maybe end up with no2 garratt starting at some point soon with newer chassis in! but we will have to see! hopefully will have some new loco builds soon as working on a few new projects! cheers all regards ian.

Hi ian great work as always just had a quick look at the earlier posts as well and the loco`s mighty fine! oh by the way the crosti 9f fits very well on to the new Hornby railroad 9f as im on no3 build currently although so far ive only done rebuilt versions yet to tackle taking one apart! cheers for now. regards ian/leopard1299

  17. thanks for the kind words terry im hoping to get the other side numbered up over the next couple of days and do a little more weathering! then may start looking at no2 Garratt! remove the round bunker and fit a square one!!!!!!!!! oh the fun of it all now which window shall we go through today children! the square one me thinks! people of a certain age will know what kids programe im refering to! haha yep kinda lost the plot! but heyho thats how it goes sometimes cheers all ian.

  19. quick update still weathering the garratt delayed due to rain! and transfers run out over the weekend so ordered some more from fox and hey presto they turn up this morning! thanks again to fox transfers for another quick turn round! anyway got a few mins this afternoon after putting on the numbers to take a quick pic! its not finished yet so don`t go rushing in making odd comments its a work in progress shot! thanks again for the comments before guys! regards ian.
  20. man lab strikes back! only trouble is mark track don`t go as far as the kettle! yet! thats on the other side of the kitchen! and we get told off as it is when we have trains out! thats why we have sheds up the garden but no kettle! well can`t get it right all the time! anyway good look with the LNER garratt its on the list of maybe/when I get some space - although next may do square bunker LMS/BR garratt this time it maybe different chassis just depends on how much funds we have! anyway cheers for now thanks for the comments! regards ian.

Hi folks just another quick update as ive been working on the garratt again most of this week its had a few bits sorted out and a bit more paint its also had the first bits of weathering done so now just got to put decals on and finish off!! just did a quick test run after cleaning off some paint off the wheels so took a quick vid! please note this is in no way finished yet and is triang based so all you finescalers out there look the otherway! its been made to go round most peoples trainset!/railway and so far has done so! more testing to come over the weekend! anyway enjoy the vid and sorry for the camera work and lighting but its difficult trying to do everything on your own! run the train and film at the same time!!!! cheers ian

  23. another great addition to your collection! what people seem to forget is you can we a little time and practice make something from older models!!! keep bashing them out!
