  1. I need sectioning because I did all seven 😮 but still not a patch on @Captain Kernow’s though
  2. I cheated! Firstly by using posts with holes in them and secondly by threading rigid nickel silver rod through so I didn’t have to worry about the wire tension 😳 But I still feel your pain because even that was a pain in the rear end
  3. you’re definitely not a fraud! If anyone is it would be me because I have no medical reason not to do anything on the layout unless ‘can’t be ars*d’ is a recognised condition?
  4. Sorry to hear this Rob I developed tennis elbow doing archery Once I reluctantly stopped going (advice from my GP) the pain went away after a few weeks Hope you're better very soon
  5. AI? 😮 Have you never watched the Terminator or the Matrix 🤪
  6. I upgraded* from an Anycubic Mono X2 to an Elegoo Saturn 8K I used the same sliced file but just saved it in the format required for the different printer without any issues *debatable
  7. I don’t like the idea of selling just the design especially after all the work that goes into them I prefer to sell the finished print as and when required but it certainly ain’t going to make me a millionaire….. ….mainly because I spend a lot of time removing the supports so the buyer doesn’t have too (because it’s a pain in the a***)…. ….and I only sell them to cover the materials and printing costs and it all goes back into the hobby* *it’s a terrible business model 🤣
  8. Are you wanting to sell just the stl file for someone to print themselves on their own printer? I would have thought someone with their own printer would already know how to slice the model to suit their own printer……or am I missing the point?….if I am my apologies
  9. I need a mug for work and I think I found one that describes my job perfectly 🤪
  10. they do look like they were meant to sit next to each other, not sure if that’s what Modelu intended
  11. Finally gotten around to fitting the seated figures into the grounded van Everything in now, including the kitchen sink Hopefully I’ll get chance to install the glazing and the lighting so I can throw the roof on
  12. Basically any industry that needs solid liquid separation Food and Beverage Processing Distilleries and booze Processing Washed Coal Tailings Quarry/Mining Dyestuffs Colours and Pigments Heavy metal and Plating effluents Precious metal effluent Most Industrial Effluents Power Generation Sewage Sludge Potable water sludge Alloy Wheel Stripping sludge The list is almost endless I started in the drawing office of a filter press manufacturer at 18 on the drawing board and 30 years later I’m still drawing the things but the technology has improved quite a bit I hate this photo but at least it caught me doing some work for a change 🤪
  13. Taken from my works website In a nutshell they are used for liquid/solid separation using pressure filtration
  14. Thanks, well near enough I’ve made the transfers myself, I managed to draw the logo on AutoCAD and print them off on waterslide print paper. The colours aren’t too far off but you’re limited by the palette available on AutoCAD They are very delicate and you end up with a lot of carrier film so not professional quality like @railtec-models transfers but more than sufficient for this kinda thing I didn’t have any orange paint for the handle so had to mix red and yellow, I should have added more red really
  15. A couple of OO gauge modelu figures might give a better sense of scale 🤪
  16. As some of you know I’ve spent the last six weeks working on a model for a colleague at work that wanted a model of a Filter Press for his father-in-law’s 80th Birthday His Father-in-law owned a Filter Press company that our company bought when he retired This is the biggest model I’ve done using my own printer at a scale of 1:10 Something extra he doesn’t know about until I give it to him tomorrow to give an idea of scale the base is 6” sq
  17. No worries there, if I were asked to add it to the ‘to do’ list it would be at the bottom
  18. I assumed you’d go for the uprated adjustable coil overs so your Memsahib could go rallying at the weekends 😉
  19. Rimmer Brothers do new shocks and springs for most Triumph inc the Herald https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-GRID005375
  20. That has got to be the winner of the ‘2023 BRM comment of the year award’ unfortunately I had a mouth full of tea when I read this, needless to say I had to remove said tea from my laptop screen
  21. The idea behind the grounded van was to be a general workshop and mess room for the staff so I suppose access isn’t really an issue?…..provided Sid the shutter watches where he’s going while he’s on his way to grab a brew
