  1. Hi Nearholmer. Thank you for your reply. I have grown fond of my Inglenook, as it is, although I am willing to adapt it by making an Insulated connection to the Branch. I added a fiddleyard at the right hand side, and trains can run onto either the branch or the Inglenook ( 3, 3 & 5 Standard Design) if required. I don’t have a Western bias, strictly BR ( S ) , apart from one or two GWR errors when I purchased something that I liked the look of ? At the time of writing there isn’t any scenery just the minimum of ballast to keep the track in place. Happy Modelling. Kev
  2. Hi Modellers. My idea of a BLT was to utilise some space on an Inglenook, and now I am half way through it does look a bit crowded. The Inglenook works well but I wanted somewhere to run my “ Hornby Push Pull Set “ . The ideas that I have read here have given me encouragement, but, I need to fit in a platform which in this instance is more likely to be more of a “ Halt “ not very grand as a terminus, more like a backwater. Any suggestions please. Happy modelling Kev
  3. Hi All. Wiring Sheet? Wiring Sheet? Everyone talks about a wiring sheet. But, I never got one? A diagram on the card that came in the package, but not a sheet. Or is that what everyone means? Youtubers make it look so simple, but I think I ‘m getting too old for Simples? Is there a sheet or a card? Kev
  4. Hi Modellers. Up until now I have had no trouble with Peco Electrofrog Right Hand Or Left Hand Point Control by “ wire in tube “ . And I don’t expect to have a problem with WIT and the three way asymmetric point, but, the frog wiring may be a different saga? I have all the wires in position two wires and the third separate , which leaves the “ bus wires” . On either the R/ H or L/ H you only require the two bus wires, simples , but, what do I do with the spare wires? on the three way point? Happy Modelling Kev
  5. Hi Luc .This looks like a complicated project, I can only imagine what a pigs ear I would make of it.??? Looking forward to the next instalment and your proposed method of operation. Wishing you good luck. Happy modelling Kev
  6. Hi All. I also have a Peco three way asymmetric point. Looking online for answers, I seem to find conflicting info. Is there wires on the underside to breakout like regular Peco Points? There is a cheeky chap online that made it look so simple, but he didn’t mention the underside wires. Happy modelling Kev
  7. Hi Folks. I am replacing a length of Peco Code 75 flexitrack, that was already laid, but, the metal fishplates came off the rails, and I am having a juice of a job getting the fishplates back on the rail ends. They slipped off easy enough, can someone please give me the answer. Happy modelling Kev
  8. Hi Modellers. Forgive me for this old topic? But I have been thinking about doing this for ages, and I keep getting knockbacks . I Model Southern, and have recently bought a Mitre box and Razor Saw to do the job. I have some Clerestory carriages and I have read that these “ don’t represent any GW drawings” ? now I need help with details, especially bogies to replace the awful bogies that came with the originals .also the correct roofs and vents. Any advice would be welcome. Happy modelling Kev
  9. Hi Modellers. The Peco Three way asymmetric point is an handsome beast okay, but, to me it is a beast. Before I purchased my “space saving marvel” I didn’t realise that it didn’t save as much space as I had assumed it would. Now I have a fight on my hands to get it in my limited yard. I may have been better off using a pair of Peco large radius right hand electrofrog points instead, okay I would have lossed siding length, but I would have one long siding and two a bit shorter. Please advise happy modelling Kev
  10. Hi There. I have a Peckett on pre order to run on an Inglenook , I was hoping that it would have arrived, but being prototypical the train is late. I had been planning on DCC ing a pair of L& Y Pugs , but they, to me , seem a bit crowded. In the meantime I am running an O8 shunter. I read something that doesn’t make sense? about “ track radii “ and 0-4-0 Locos which I don’t understand , because loco would go anywhere on any radii, but apparently not. Happy modelling. Kevin
  11. Hi Paul., Phil, Thank you. On regular Peco Electrofrog points, the frog wire, which there is only one, in my usage of the DPDT Slide switch, then that wire goes to the centre contact. With two wires from each running rail, one of which goes to one bus wire and the second wire goes to one of the contacts on the DPDT , ditto from the other running rail. But with the asymmetric point, it is like starting from scratch , The very for asking this question , it is a whole new ball game. Kevin
  12. Hi Folks. Of the points that I have in my layout, none of them have a Point Motor. Until now? And I wish to keep it that way . I phoned Peco for advice but I was told that the asymmetric point needs point motors singe pole switches etc. But I have been been assured that it is like “two points overlaid” and I can. Then it was suggested that I should look on ”rmweb” and here I am. I have been told that two of “the three wires” but which two? Kevin
