This is what I have been up to tonight, still more spacers to add before the stiffening angles get rivetted and added.

Pretty good effort tonight. The other half then I need to do the bridge as the upper board needs checking against the bridge prior to fixing in place.
-
Thanks. The 4 degrees came from someone else on here who was building one. I appreciate the help.
-
So what should the spacings be? I could very easily be wrong, trying to work out a formula that I don't normally use late at night is not a great idea.

kind of answered my own question. 70ft real dia. divided by 43.5, gives 490.423 once converted to mm, divided by 360 degrees is 1.3622mm per degree so 4 degrees is 5.449 or 5.45mm spacings nearest damn it.

Does anyone know what spacing the chairs of the race rail should be at?

The photo isn't clear but with the arrival of the transfers I commissioned, I can finish my LMS full brake. They read "Load not to exceed 8 Tons equally distributed."

Lining it didn't go to plan. Here she is. Some light weathering to the body and now awaiting transfers and glazing. Apologies for the bloody awful light.

Must have similar interests. I too have a dia. 2102 kit.
-
Thanks David, I may well need it.
-
And great they look too but let's keep this relevant to my topic please.

Maybe in about 10 years for me, after I've finished my other kits...

Doest look like much but this is the start of an mmp 109 16t mineral wagon. I actually have three of these to do and an ex lms design version too.

I've just tried my aerosol that arrived from precision paints today. My word, life is complete. It took a few minutes to paint the ends of my coach rather than an hour or more with all the clean up of using an air brush!

I've fitted the hooded vents and cut the roof to size tonight. Not sure if I'm happy with the roof overhang.
