This morning I managed to get the ballasting done, really pleased with the way it’s looking. Need to wait a good day now for the ballast to dry and set.
A few pictures of my progress.
The Sentinel definitely looks great out of the box. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.
Im planning on having a go at this challenge but I’m still in the planning phase of things, my baseboard is on it’s way.
Great locomotives the Hornby Sentinel. You can’t go wrong with the scalemodelscenery diorama boards they are great. I look forward to seeing more of your cakebox.
Hi some progress today on my diorama. The cobbled area of the coal yard has been fitted in place and weathering has been carried out. I’m really pleased with the way the cobbles have turned out.
As always a picture of my progress.
Marlyn what can I say, another stunning cakebox layout. The gaugemaster mat looks really good and sea looks so inviting. Well done brilliant modelling.
Hi last night I managed to build up the area to be grassed. This area will also have a tree and some wild flowers. The coal staithe is in place ready to paint up.
This morning I have ordered the cobbled sheet ready for the coaling area.
As always a picture of my progress.
This is probably my favourite exhibition to visit, it’s just on my doorstep and unlike other venues admission is free. A fantastic selection of layouts and as mentioned in different gauges. The trade stand are great much cheaper than buying online.
Shildon always gets a big from me.
While I was at Shildon model railway exhibition yesterday I purchased on of these cute little laser cut staithe kits. This will look nice on my diorama.
On my workbench I have started work on a small diorama, the size is 24cms x 11cms. The theme of my diorama will be about 1 loco and 1 wagon being shunted towards a coal staithe for unloading, this will be Era2.
The baseboard i purchased from Homebase as I have seen another member use this type, which is ideal for small dioramas.
Here is a picture of the start of the diorama.
This is my first n gauge micro layout build. The baseboard is 9mm plywood and has an 1” square pinewood frame.
The baseboard size is 45cms x 32cms.
I hope to emulate some of the RNAD Trecwn facility.
I’m building an RNAD n gauge micro layout, I need some wagons is there war department wagons available or is it best to purchase some Peco RTR flatbed wagons and convert them.
Luke great job on rebuilding the forest area, I think the little Ruston loco looks really nice. Great pictures BTW.
I received my Hornby Network Rail Bagnal club loco.
