  1. Nice start to your cakebox challenge, love the loco. Look forward to seeing the beach sheds built and painted.
  2. It will be interesting to see your cakebox challenge develop and hopefully you can get it finished in time.
  3. I agree with Marlyn. These boxes are full of detail a brilliant layout.
  4. This looks great, I like the wild flowers growing around the buffer stop. The ground cover looks really good and you have a nice assortment of locos and rolling stock. Look forward to seeing more.
  5. Alex fantastic modelling, you have a keen eye for attention to detail. The weathering throughout your photo plank is really good. Great pictures BTW.
  6. Thanks steggy1990, I thought i would model something a little different to photograph my locos and wagons.
  7. Richard your cakebox is looking great, It’s nice that you have built your own base and I like the wood construction of the platform areas. I am impressed with the way you have laid individual sleepers then added the rail, some I might use in the future. Keep up the great work.
  8. Your cakebox layout looks great, I like how you have used O gauge railway items to make the locos look the correct size when emulating your seaside theme.
  9. More progress on the photo plank,I have been weathering the platform area and the walled sections. Over the coming week I hoping to add the cable trunking and start to lay some ground cover and ballast. A picture of today’s progress.
  10. Today the track has been laid to the floating shelf along with part of a platform area. I’m happy with the way the layout is looking. I have taken a picture of the progress.
  11. Morning this has been an idea for a while now. Today I bought a 600mm x 90mm floating shelf ideal for a photo plank/test track. Tomorrow I should receive my Peco setrack for this build. The theme of the layout will be based around diesel locomotives which I have a great passion for. I hope to post some pictures tomorrow once the track has been laid.
  12. Your track layout fits nicely on the shelf, I will look forward to seeing your adventure into 009 gauge railway modelling.
  13. Looking forward to following your progress, the cinders and ash sounds like a great idea.
  14. Looks good, you can have loads of fun with a single fork layout.
  15. Thanks for the kind comments and thanks to all for the likes.
  16. Hi a little bit progress on my diorama today. The embankment area has been grassed and the ballast has been laid. The yard store shed is weathered and fitted in place, the steps still need a little work and the oil tank still needs to be weathered. Im making my own flowers to place around the Diorama and I will hopefully start work on single track leading to the store shed. A pictures of my progress.
  17. Great pictures of your two trees layout. The Sentinel looks right at home on this layout. It will be interesting to see what you decide to do with the back and sides.
  18. Hi Duncan I do like you’re 7mm photo plank, the modelling and weathering is spot on. I was thinking about making something like your photo plank but instead have a loco running back and forth.
  19. Mike great layout and modelling, you should be proud. I am thinking about 0 gauge as my eyesight is not what it used to be
  20. You can have loads of fun building a layout of the size you have chosen. There is plenty of inspiration to had from the builds on the forum. Look forward to seeing your progress.
  21. Very nice Paul. I like your different time periods and the pannier tank loco is a favourite of mine.
