  1. Nice modelling Alex, the stair and girder supports look great and I am sure you will have them painted and weathered up nicely.
  2. Luke I like the wire in a tube method very much, I have seen it done many times but have never tried it myself. My hat goes off to you Luke knowing how to wire up tracks. That look like spaghetti junction of wires.
  3. Nick I love your embankment and the tutorial about making the flowers is so easy to follow, which I’m certain to be having a go myself.
  4. Nice modelling! Your boxfile layout is looking good.
  5. Hi Alex nice work printing the stairways, look forward to seeing more.
  6. Hi Chris your layout is looking great. I do like your selection of locos.
  7. Thanks Jason for the reply and the link.
  8. That’s a very nice rake of wagons, are you keeping them prestige or will you weather them.
  9. Hi does anyone know if you can get a Hudson type V skip in OO gauge or in kit form, any advice would be great.
  10. Hi is anyone else having issues with the forum running slow, taking ages to load up the forum and every time I go to upload a picture it comes up with -200.
  11. Hi Callum it was great to see you at the Hornby weekend, your 1918 layout is awesome and the Christmas layout in a box you built in a box still inspires me. It will be interesting to see what you model next time round.
  12. Jeff this is a lovely little layout, the detail in the buildings is really good. You have done the right thing cutting away the front. I will be watching this build with some interest.
  13. Hi Alex the jig has done the job really well, it looks great on loco.
  14. This looks an interesting little layout, nice baseboard look forward to seeing more.
  15. Hi 009 micro modeller, the scenic section should hold a small wagon. The ballast I used was woodland scenic coarse dark brown. I have used this as I have seen a couple of areas use this type of ballast.
  16. Thanks 009 micro modeller for the kind comments, I have made a stick which can be added to the point to do shunting.
  17. Thanks Marlyn for your kind comments. The lorry came in the post this morning so it needed some weathering before going onto the layout. I hope the two lamps arrive tomorrow so these can also be added. My wagon will need to wait for payday.
  18. Hi Marly51 your daughters little layout looks really good even though it’s not finished, I think she takes after you when it come to great modelling. It would look nice with a small track. Anyway back to your own layout which is coming along nicely, look forward to seeing the building built.
  19. Hi today I have been putting some finishing touches to my layout. The lorry has been slightly weathered and added to the layout and a pallet of cement has been lifted onto the lorry. The class 03 diesel has made an appearance. I still need a goods wagon, the sleepers have been fitted instead of buffer stops just the chains to add. And last I’m waiting delivery of a couple of wall mounted yard lamps. So all in all about 90% completed.
  20. The ballasting and weathering looks really good Nick.
  21. Very tasteful The theme or this cakebox and the fun factor is great, and that’s what this hobby is all about.
  22. Alex that looks like a useful piece of kit you have designed and it will make things easier while soldering.
