  1. Ballasting has reached the throat of the layout.
  2. Some more ballasting tonight, I will attempt to tone it down at some stage even though its just been laid by the PW gang.
  3. Hi, I have just built a Grampus and love the colour you achieved, what actual colour did you use? Think yours is superb by the way. Regards Julian.
  4. Thanks Ade first time Iv got this far on a layout so hope it will turn out ok. The impression being that the back siding is very rarely tended to.
  5. A spot of ballasting in the siding.
  6. Evening Andy, thanks for the tip, is that back to back on the wheels? What is strange is they all went through the points prior to me changing some track and fixing it down. I have lifted points to check them and they appear ok.
  7. No Ade I haven't yet it only seems to be the class 60 & 50 that cut out on the points. Its obviously something Iv done as I renewed a couple of small sections and fixed track down. I have the ballast ready to go as soon as I can get to the bottom of the fault.
  8. A Warwell has turned up, Im blaming Mr Peters as I liked his on SMS....
  9. Finally got around to putting two dowels in for changing the points. Awkward to say the least, the wire is just a paper clip drilled through to underside of point.
  10. A glimpse through the goods shed doors.
  11. A different angle tonight from behind the old cattle pens.
  12. Thanks Jim and Andy for the use of your page, I see Halfords do a plastic primer and wondered if that was suitable. I will check the range see if they will mail it. regards Julian.
  13. Hi Ian, Hope your all well there I forgot to ask you what primer you used before you sprayed the Grampus? Cheers Julian.
  14. Never mind thanks anyway Andy I hear lot of modellers mention Halfords primer so wondered which one. Hope your both OK in these unusual times.
  15. Morning Andy, what primer would you recommend for undercoating the Grampus wagon? I was looking at the Halfords ones. Great shots by the way as always.
  16. My eyes are not what they used to be and applying minute numbers is difficult not to mention fiddly nowadays so I know they are not straight on the front. I have decided I would like the 60 respraying into DB Schenker red livery, does anyone know of any companies out there offering resprays for O Gauge?
  17. Excellent work Alan love the weathering, what did you use on the slope sided mineral to achieve that effect?
  18. Having watched Ian’s (47606 Odin) excellent tutorial on Class 60 lighting configuration I have finally corrected mine! Thanks Ian.
  19. On the subject of the Grampus, can anyone help me in telling me where exactly the baskets fit on the underside of the wagon? Think the instructions could have a diagram showing where exactly. Thanks in advance.
