  1. It seems SK has had this great new idea for modellers with smaller modern homes that haven't got the space for a 00 layout - smaller trains! 😲 What an innovation, no-one has ever thought of doing that before. Err, N gauge anyone? Only the second most popular scale after 00, but it appears SK has never heard of it. 🙄
  2. I've been using a Gillette Sensor Excel razor since they came out (gawd knows when that was!). Two blades is quite enough to decapitate hairs with, don't see the need for 3, 4, or even 5. The blades are cheap enough, just wonder how much longer they'll keep selling them Paul
  3. That's enough reason NOT to go outside surely? Things are bad enough without something that sounds like someone squashing a bag of cats Unless it's this guy of course . . . Paul
  4. As I've posted before, there's no shortage of starlings round here! Paul
  5. We have a plastic dessert pot that is fixed to an upstairs window sill and has drain holes at the bottom. We put out pre-soaked mealworms every morning now that the starlings are feeding chicks, and they're usually gone in about 15 minutes. Can have up to a dozen birds on the sill at a time, either waiting patiently or squawking and flapping at each other! Paul
  6. I'll turn that into a positive for you I'm working from home most of the time, but being an Accountant have to pop into the office two mornings a week. Being an Aspie I'm actually enjoying not having to listen to the endless football talk, mindless social media crap, and other banal chat about pets, social lives, etc that goes on in an office. Splendid isolation is great Paul
  7. Archery on a Sunday morning right outside Knebworth House. Easter weekend we would usually do a public Have-A-Go to coincide with the Jousting event. Paul
  8. Shortage? They had that many in our local Tesco that half a dozen packs were in the "reduced to clear" section. Paul
  9. Was missing this too as our usual Friday night treat, until last night when we found a local place on Just Eat that does most of the same things, only better as it turns out! Chicken wasn't as greasy, chips were better, the Mrs' spicy chicken fillet burger was available in three levels of heat, and they do beans, coleslaw, corn, etc. Best of all they were OPEN I can see the colonel getting slightly less business when he does decide to open up again. I fail to see why the major fast-food outlets didn't stay open for delivery only. Paul
  10. What's a "Skype"? I don't even use the phone at home, never mind any form of internet or video conversation-doodahs. The two people I need to converse with - my sister and brother - I do by email. That way I can think of what to say and type at leisure At work I need to make calls to customers and suppliers, but while we're all working from home the work-colleague interaction has gone onto email too. Paul
  11. If that pyracantha is the same thing we have down the bottom of our garden (has thorns on, and grows loads of berries that we used to call "Action Man tomatoes" ?) then yes the blackbirds and many others love them! The one in our garden is about 8 foot tall and over 5 foot across Paul
  12. Way too late for that it seems, thread has gone massively off-topic due to the usual endless debating of over-inflated opinions where no-one can actually "win" . . . Paul
