  1. Wondering if anyone can help with the following. The Class 26's that were in Railfreight Coal Livery, were they based at Haymarket prior to Eastfield ??? If so did any get a 'Haymarket Castle' bodyside emblem/sticker prior to the fitment of Eastfield cast plates ? If so anyone got any pics, I've trawled and found nothing. Thanks
  2. Had posted in wrong section, now in the right place.
  3. Can anyone advise if the above has basically the same body moulding as 37239 in Trainload Coal Livery. Although I do see according to pics 37275 does not have nose mounted ariels as per 239, or is this an accessory fit. Many thanks
  4. Please PM if you can help with the above. Not looking for a 37/7. Many thanks
  5. Please PM if you can help with the above. Many thanks
  6. Shortly after this was posted I placed an order for R3050A. About 5 mins after the link changed to Heljan 4661 Class 47 Merddin Emrys. This morning payment shown as refunded without explanation. Phoned up and got the curt reply, 'don't have any'. First and last time I will use this retailer.
  7. Anyone any idea what type of sound chip is in Bachmann 57003, Model 32-750DS. Thank you.
  8. A long shot but has anyone got the box for Bachmann 47612 (Titan - model number 31-651) they are willing to part with. Even the inner box itself would be good. If so please PM. Cheers
  9. Looking for two Bachmann Class 108 exhaust pipes, the two that go up the end of the coach. Have tried Bachmann spares dept but none to be had. Thanks

    CLASS 56 LIGHT PROBLEMS

Wires/connections were all checked and as mentioned the body of 56128 works fine on this chassis. All points to the body, it's got to be something simple, hopefully !!!. I'll keep persevering with the contact springs.

    CLASS 56 LIGHT PROBLEMS

I've straightened them up although when the body goes on unable to see exactly where they sit on the chassis. The strange thing is they worked prior to the body removal, contacts weren't touched when body was off. A right pain in the you know where. I'll have another bash this afternoon and see how it goes.

    CLASS 56 LIGHT PROBLEMS

Thanks for the reply. I think 56127 was the sound fitted loco. The 56128 I've got is DCC ready although there was a DCC fitted version. It's just strange that 56013 body doesn't works on either it's own chassis or 56128's whereas 56128 body works on both.
  13. A directional lighting problem I've got with 56013 if anyone can help. Loco ran fine with directional lights operating as they should. However I had a problem with the bogie and drive shaft and removed the body to sort. Once body refitted lights at one end were fine, however I had red and white together at the other end. Removed and refitted the body again and got nothing at one end. Body removed again to ensure all spring contacts as they should be, this time on refitting I've got nothing at either end. I know there are issues with the contacts and lights and the advice was just to persevere, however despite numerous attempts still nothing, not even a flicker. I've also cleaned the chassis contacts since the loco did sit for about a year in it's box. I swopped the body of 56128 onto the chassis and it worked fine. Then swopped 56013 body onto 56128 chassis and nothing. Any ideas where the problem may lie, I take it no way of testing the lights with the body off the chassis ? Any help would be appreciated.
  14. I'm sure I seen a thread on this subject but have searched and unable to find it. If anyone can point me in the right direction or give me the information that would be great. Basically looking to find out what (if any) are the Scottish renumbering options for this loco taking account the headcode box type and tank arrangement. Regards
  15. Reference Bachmann Class 47541 'Queen Mother' in Scotrail/Inter City Livery which is like gold dust to obtain unless your willing pay a high number. Looking for a donor loco to replicate the above with minimum changes, apart from needong a chassis swop and the livery difference, is 47612 'Titan' the same body moulding/detail ? Regards
  16. Looking for a Bachmann Class 37 body in Trainload Coal, either 37239, 37692 or 37698. Willing to buy or can swop for Bachmann 37796 body in same livery if so desired. Complete locos considered. PM me direct.
  17. Thanks for that, I'll have a rake through the spares box.
  18. Has anyone tried the above etched detailing kit to convert the detailed Hornby Class 56 Chassis to the early series (56001-56032) with buffer cowling. If so is it effective, easy to do ? . https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4mm-Scale-00-Class-56-Buffer-Replacement-Buffer-Beam-Units/143213743249 Regards
  19. Good afternoon, What price would you be looking at ?
  20. A long shot but has anyone got the above which is surplus to their requirements. I think it's model R2645 which was the first of the super detailed version. The body itself would suffice. Thanks
  21. Hoping someone may help on this I. I purchased a Bachmann Class 37 (21 Pin DCC Ready) at a Toyfair just before lockdown for very reasonable money. It was mentioned it had an issue, directional lights were red when going forward and white at the rear which was no big deal, a quick fix or so I thought. That's me just got round to testing and found the following. When putting the controller to the forward position the directional lights are correct (white at front and red at rear), however the loco itself runs in reverse. Exact same going the other way, lights correct but loco goes the wrong way. Have taken the body off and all looks in order, no sign of any wire issues or tinkering, all factory soldered etc. Swopped over the blanking plate but still the same. Any idea on what the problem might be and how to overcome ?? Many thanks
