  1. For my personal model I've ordered via Narrow Planet/Light Railway Stores.
  2. Bear in mind that on the doors, the window frames are part of the transparent plastic of the windows and have not been painted/printed.
  3. We couldn't lay our hands on any corridor Mk1s that morning ;)
  4. Hello, sorry if we missed the message about the pickups. The replacement plungers come as a complete unit, rather than replacing the spring on its own. If you are stuck, our warranty department should be able to replace them for you, or send you some replacements to change.
  5. Ah yes - if you place the order for the Caley vans, then the loco, it should go through.
  6. The order book has closed but if anyone still has pre-ordering open on their shop then you should still be able to place one - we still have 'extras' available direct too.
  7. In the production queue, the factories are returning from Spring Festival at the moment so we should have things moving again soon.
  8. The front portion of the frames with the guard irons? If so yes the intention is to have these in the polybag.
  9. Here is 103 (the preserved one) in Jones green showing the bufferbeam. The Am Baile site is a fantastic resource for Scottish railways.
  10. Remember we work on a pre-order model, production hasn't started yet and won't do so until the order book closes. IIRC we were cautious about having too many preservation liveries and the red was different to others we had sold before, the lined livery being quite close to 'Beatrice' from Run 1.
  11. More info to follow but the 'blanks' are all black painted bodies. We'll be prepping some templates based on our previous PO wagon artworks. Shaded lettering TBC pending testing. Intention is to have a choice between 5 and 7-plank versions.
  12. Vac and air hoses are planned to be included in the accessory bag. :)
  13. A couple of these things came up in our discussion with the HRS and looking at the sources/photographs. The colour paintings conflict on a few points as do the written accounts and it is possible there was more than one application of the style. I do not wish to infringe copyright so will not post the whole photo here but this is an excerpt of a photo of 116 in full Jones livery. The centre of the boiler bands is black which shows as much darker than the wheel tyres, which are a close match to the wheel centre in shade. Likewise it shows that the outside of the wheel weight is dark and the centre of the weight is lighter. The cab interior colours are slightly different depending on the loco, unfortunately we could not convince the factory to scumble the interior walls ;) Claret frames - will check sources and confirm.
  14. Finalising artwork at the moment, have been getting advice from some very helpful people on interiors. Painted samples likely to be after orderbook closing - the date for this will be announced soon so people can get their orders in.
  15. Yes that's correct, Mr. Jones didn't seem to go in for branding (no bufferbeam numbers and no H.R on the tender). Drummond took over in 1896 and the elaborate white-black-white lining was applied until 1902 when the HR seemed to run out of money for paint and seemingly everything was painted plain green.
  16. We get asked this all the time and it's difficult to answer. Within the next 18 months is what we would hope.
  17. Thank you, the team is very pleased with the design so far. The blue one is effectively 'Gamma' without the name or the logo on the nose :)
  18. The railways of Scotland are sparsely represented in OO Gauge, so we are pleased to buck the trend and bring you the first ever item of ready-to-run Caledonian Railway freight stock – the Diagram 67 10t van. Spanning coast to coast of Scotland, the Caledonian Railway owned lines from Aberdeen to Annan, covering some of the most scenic railways to grace the UK network. This widespread railway not only served the majority of Scotland’s major cities but also a huge amount of industry and commerce throughout its 76-year history. Routes to the most highly populated areas of the country created a noticeable increase in traffic, and with the company’s goal of providing competitive cross-border trains and excursion traffic to the coast it grew exponentially. Along with the towns and cities, its access to the numerous ports that were dotted along the Firths of the Clyde and Forth meant there was a steady stream of laden freight wagons, moving into and out of the area, and as the turn of the century approached a need for suitable stock to safely transport explosives arose. In 1903, the first Diagram.67 van rolled off of the production line with the firms of R.Y. Pickering constructing 150 vehicles, Motherwell Wagon & Rolling Stock Co. 25, and Renshaw another 25. This initial batch was the first of many, and by the time a further batch had been ordered in 1907 the initial design had been revised to replace the original roof door with end ventilators. Shortly after the outbreak of WW1, the Traffic Committee authorised the conversion of several Dia.67 vans to carry Cordite paste, a key component in the creation of artillery shells. The design proved successful, as two more batches of 150 vans were ordered in 1917. By 1918, over 1300 examples of the vans had been constructed. Continuing through the grouping railway era and into nationalisation the Dia.67 travelled far and wide across the UK, finding themselves much further afield than their native land. Several even ended up in the hands of some rather interesting privately owned companies, including Britain’s most famous confectioner Cadbury. Numerous Dia.67 Vans have survived into preservation, including at the Scottish Railway Preservation Society museum at Bo’ness. The Rapido Trains UK OO Gauge Caledonian Railway Dia.67 Van features full external, and underframe details including brass bearings for smooth friction-free running, NEM coupling pockets and a high-quality livery application. Tooling covers two different wheel styles, Morton hand brakes, duel or vacuum fitted brakes, and three different axlebox and spring arrangements.
