As a heads up - you use Shopify Right? @McC you can set up a staging site to test changes to stop these “wayward” emails. i used to develop for shopify as i discussed with you previously and sent you a fix for a problem before. may be useful! Cheers, -

Sorry mate - i wasn’t trying to be a self righteous turd in my reply. its just for whatever reason, this loco (and the purchasing) has been odd - with asking for rebilling, having payment issues, amending certain things etc) And now with this email - as you can imagine, its pretty confusing. i am sure all of us that have received this email are happy waiting. We just want to be assured that 1. The emails are an error. 2. Our orders aren’t lost to the Abyss cheers, -

Got exactly the same email update for my orders - beginning to get a bit frustrated with the whole experience now. had the emails telling me you were going to bill me again, then had a nightmare with paying for them, then paid for them, for them not to ship yet - to now receive and email update for my 3 orders that they are in the tooling stage. if they aren’t it makes it even more frustrating that you put the rest of the stock up for sale before all the pre-orders have gone out. Are the orders coming or not? I order for our whole model club and I am getting my ears bent on why i ordered months ago yet Rails of sheffield, Olivias trains etc had them in stock before hand. The latter is a me problem, because i took on ordering them (so i expect the moans) But the whole experience is getting a tad frustrating - especially as I am just off “Gold” status for orders. Reached out to Simon a few days ago who is usually amazing. But this time got a generic “its in the queue” response - but this whole process with the 66s is far from my previous buying experiences. An update on this would be super appreciated. @McC @Accurascale Fran individual orders - no mixes 2 pre-orders 1 restock all paid up on all 3. thanks -

I do find the decision odd to sell the surplus before all orders were fulfilled from pre-orders and this is breaking the tradition of the usual way Accurascale does things. also cursing the mail list - as despite being whitelisted - the on stock notifications went to the spam folder so that is a new thing and meant I missed evening star. still awaiting my shipments from pre-orders. Not one has shipped - which is odd, seeing as several were ordered within an hour of being on the site. Hope everyone is enjoying there models! -
Is the twin pack DCC sound factory fitted for £579? thanks

@Accurascale Fran as I mentioned further up I had my 37609 pinched at a family open day. am I able to purchase the parts to convert another 37 in the range to 37609 (bodyshell etc) - if so, which would be an appropriate donor? Would 37605 which you still have in stock work? cheers -

I don’t think so, but it is fairly simple. The side ploughs on the sides fit into the holes. They fit quite loose initially so make you test fit dry first - get familar with it. I use glue and glaze for the longer drying time, but you may prefer super glue - but its risky if they move. front middle one fits in the front groove. You may need to move the hoses about, but again - tiny bit of glue. - i started with the middle one for the alignment of the left and right ones to gauge their positions. -

I think Richard mentioned this, expect @Accurascale Fran will confirm, but as well as the exposure and good cause, it was a big benefit of the Making Tracks 3 collab - running their stock constantly gave them a controlled pool of testing. The Mileage they must of racked up, pulling heavy loads, over a short period would of flagged weaknesses. However, they were also very well maintained throughout the duration, which you cannot count on the average consumer to do. But it gives them the best case, if maintained properly, the longevity of components under high load. -

I was just referencing it as an example of failure rates as a general rule - was not comparing apples for apples with model railways. Just that there are acceptable limits. Just mentioned Semiconductors and wafers as most don’t know the failure rate so always surprises peeps so apologies. TSMCs and Samsungs rate of the latest generation Nvidia cards I believe it was had a yield of around 50%. They’ve got it substantially higher now I believe. And nvidia are doing well. Its the consumers wallets that weren’t. but yes, 5% i expect is the figure here in Accurascale terms. -

Even that is not strictly true though. I have read Accurascale have even helped with that as well, as long as they had the invoice / order number and was ordered from them directly. I’m just a firm believer in letting companies try and put things right before the witch hunt starts. everything, especially electronics has an “expected” or “acceptable” failure rate. Depending on the product its anywhere between 0-10% commonly, but when you get into stuff like Semiconductors and CPUs and GPUs the yield rate can be as low as 50%. Helping Accurascale collect that data is really helpful, from a company perspective and a consumer one. -

indeed - was my pride and joy 37609 - the reproduction was fantastic. Sadly mine went missing at a club Family open day a few weeks back. As everywhere is now depleted, will hopefully pick up another when the market settles down. Even more frustrating is, I helped a lot of that clubs members secure units during the drops. needless to say I am no longer a part of that club - however not all is lost as I have now discovered SMRS who are a fantastic bunch and made me very welcome indeed. -

Out of interest why was this not directed to Accurascale Support? Surely thats a warranty issue which they will address? apart from the expense saved on replacing a motor under warranty for your colleague, they are kind of doing other fellow modellers a bit of a dis-service too - why? Well, you stop Accurascale from fully understanding their failure rates, which in turn means they cannot look to better their product. Judge a company not by said mistakes, but how they deal with them and improve moving forwards. if there is a motor problem, i’d rather find out before its used in more of their products as a customer. I can also assure you, from a cost perspective and brand reputation basis, that Accurascale do too. -

They did the DRS 37609 just fine - and i’d argue thats a harder livery in terms of colour reproduction. -

Roadandrails said sound was already set low on the decoder. He done an in-depth video on it. Think it was 70% as default. https://youtu.be/9GL3lgRb6jw?si=inQ2q55vQXeO4-q7 -

This came up previously with the TPE Nova sets. There are drawbacks to doing that for every gain. If you order for elderly club members, family, friends etc. a club membership was then suggested. The guys at accurascales answer was fair: “The product was avaliable to pre-order for months. If people chose not to do it then, then so be it.” Which i entirely get. and the view of one of the sellers I spoke to about the pricing on eBay was “I have been refreshing the page for hours and waiting - my time spent securing it, is the additional cost” whether there is any merit in that, who knows. i appreciate I was lucky on this occasion as I happened to be on the site when the stock dropped. However, i have missed other drops and agree its frustrating - but thats also my own fault for not pre-ordering. i have always tried to be fair with my orders. When I have done orders for various people in my local club I have done it one at a time - on the basis that if its still in stock when i have finished, then its fair. this time however, i did it as an order of 3 for the Club (different sound fitted 37s - DRS, ROG and 97) . 10 minutes later there was still a 97 so I was like “ah i’ll treat myself” so I did that. The irony is the priority order still hasn’t shipped, whilst my personal one did 😂😂. the £549.99 one on eBay is obscene money though. Chancer or what! -

I will have shortly. actually testing it at the moment, as this is my first Class 37 (97) with the Cold start from Accurascale - and I am having the sound cut out on cold start and the decoder reset or go into some sort of reset. i expect I will have to reduce the volume on this one. this is the first one that I have that has done it and only when cold start is initiated. resolved by dropping CV63 to 180 from 192. -

My Personal Banana 37 has arrived. Was a small black part loose in the box. Trying to work out where it has come from but looks great - thanks Team Accurascale! Heres to hoping the club ones ship today! -

True - but the shipping numbers are 80 orders apart which is not insignificant! If it was 2 orders I get it. The initial order was before the stampede that insued. thats why i asked. Anyway, beating a dead horse now. -

It was a genuine question. and When tasked to do club orders in excess of £800, its something I can explain for the future. I was also asking if it was better to do it separately. The question was hardly a rant and the question was based on previous provided information that orders were shipped in order they were placed. So again, the question was merited. I also don’t want an £800 box of locomotives left unattended so I need to plan around deliveries. @McC answer was useful. Your input was not. -

I was led to believe, Accurascale dispatched orders in order they were received. that clearly is not the case. i placed 2 orders yesterday. One for my club (first order) then a second order for me, as turned out I could secure myself a sound Banana 37 for £199.99 thanks to the purchase points and going up to Silver Tier. This order was placed 10 minutes after the club order. the Club order is yet to be dispatched, but my banana is on the way! is this because the Club order is for 3 Class 37s opposed to the second order being 1? should i order locos 1 at a time in the future? -
