  1. Nice stuff. I'll have to see if the wallet allows haha
  2. Do the 68 & 88 work together on the nuclear trains, I might be able to justify one then
  3. Any idea what's happened with the profiles that were due q1
  4. I'm glad to see that the 66 finally has something to pull, but still not enough for a modern layout, I hoped we'd atleast get the class 800 that they hinted at the original launch
  5. Thanks everyone, I'll see what deals I can find
  6. It seems like my e link has lost its ability to program anything, and the hm7k seems to be here to stay. I'm planning on getting a select or elite & the dongle, from what I can tell most of the difference comes down to ease of use, which which the app does really matter. Is there any other reason to avoid the select, all I need it to do is occasional cv editing on a couple of non txs sound locos, the rest is via the app. At a quick look, good ones seem to be going for about £90, and the elite £170 on ebay, would it be worth spending more for the additional features?
  7. Not to repeat myself, but if you can afford to spend £1k on a 12 car set + loco to pull them, you should really think about getting a better transformer for the controller, I find it hard to believe any with a layout big enough is running it all off a Hornby select
  8. They also have instructions for the 4vep, but it's not in the app yet
  9. I don't see the point of non motorised sets, the price can't be reduced enough to make it a worthwhile saving, it creates more variation to manufacture, and I would have thought someone spend around £1k on a 12 car set would have the knowledge how to give a couple of decoders the same adress
  10. I find it hard to believe that any layout other than making tracks is attracting enough interest online or at a show to generate profit, but it's a far easier to show off your creation on YouTube than bring it to a show. There's been magazines for decades, social media is just a new interpretation of it
  11. It looks super, even all the warning symbols are printed on, and looks like a painted interior 👌
  12. Not been reading everything here, but haven't really seen model world live mentioned yet, its cheaper, same location and has alot of big names behind it.
  13. Any more photos of the 755?
  14. That's it?!?! I expected atleast 1 multiple unit, even if it is just a repaint
  15. Mainly the big orange connector, also the bolts & other bits around the edges. It's probably just a limitation of the scale, but it just looks like a step down from the rest of the model.
  16. I'm very excited to see the progress being made so far, i think im going to be a happy customer, for a 1st ep it's looking brilliant. The chunky seals & window frams aren't 100% accurate, but I think almost all oo models (just looking at my mk4s) are the same, once painted it will look fantastic My only concern is the lack of detail around the couplings, but it's hard to tell from the photos. Finally, Any chance the dec sample will be at model live this year, and will the interior be painted something like bachmanns 158?
