  5. A positive and optimistic feature for the model railway hobby at the end of a rollercoaster news week. I had a fantastic day out at the UK's newest model railway centre. If visiting Hornby stop enroute here for some great layouts inc some TV stars
  6. Have you tried Model Railway Signs, they made me some bespoke signs
  7. Each time I drive to this area, there are a couple of hills, one with the M20 tunnel running through it called Round Hill, which actually look like the perfect shaped hills you would find on a basic model railway layout. Dilemma would be if I ever modelled the Folkestone area, would comments include 'nice layout, shame she makes the hills look so basic. and not realistic?'! 😊
  8. I had the real pleasure of talking to Phil Parker, Editor of Garden Rail, Features Writer of BRM Magazine, co-moderator of RMweb… chick lit author!! We talked about first locos, what makes a layout stand out at shows and tips on how to get your layout featured in a magazine… and much more… have a watch!
  9. One year ago, who thought this year I am going to build my next layout as a new years resolution and how many of us went ahead and achieved it. I am already thinking today of what I want to build this year as my next one
  10. Highlights of the show, good selection of O gauge layouts and pretty full for the first day, including a 55ft centrepiece
  11. I will be bringing BRIEF ENCOUNTER monochrome to the show, looking forward to seeing everyone there
  12. Here is my video of some of my model tram collection plus a visit to Poland to visit a tram museum
  13. Sneek preview of some of the layouts and the history of the venue of the Woolwich Show this Sunday
  14. I am going to be in Room 1 with my layout 'Brief Encounter'
  15. It’s been around 20 years since the launch of a new N Gauge Class 66 model loco design… but now there’s an exciting brand new model in town, this one from Revolution Trains. I sit down with Ben Ando, co founder of Revolution Trains to talk about the launch of the company's new model and why it's set to become the definitive N gauge Class 66 for the next generation. Ben talks about the model's exciting new features and liveries, and a game changing loco numbering service designed to help you create your own unique stock. See interview below
  16. Here is a video from my visit on Sunday with some nice interviews with some of the layout owners and of course lots of train shots
  17. I loved filming today's episode - the first in a series called Inside The Model Railway Club. Today we were at Headcorn - where I spoke to Yvonne and Brian Chapman., and the absolute star of the show - Jack! Have a watch - he'll cheer you right up!
  18. Thanks Dave - that's what comes from editing at 1:30am... all fixed now. Thank you.
  19. Fantastic - will be great to see Collingwood again and get some more photos and footage.
  20. I am coming along on Sunday and hope to get some great video footage and interviews with some of the layout operators. Big cup of coffee first in the cafe across the road
