  1. As I said, amateur here. A lot of the WCRC mk2’s have centre doors. I guess these are not 2b’s then?
  2. Thanks! I did look on there but I couldn’t tell which ones didn’t have the centre doors.
  3. Sincerest apologies if this has been covered already, amateur here. I bought 4 of these mk2’s in WCRC livery with the idea of renumbering two of them. I’ve had a good search around and so far have only found 5453 to be a suitable renumber. Does anybody know of any other suitable numbers? Many Thanks!
  4. I guess anything is a possibility! I haven’t tried as I decided I just preferred a uniform mk1 rake.
  5. Just taken delivery of a set of these. Immediate observations are that they are a perfect match for the WCRC pullmans which was to be expected. The colour is indistinguishable to my eyes from the standard Bachmann maroon mk1’s. The previous mk2 from Bachmann just doesn’t sit right with me so that has now been ejected from the rake. Tooling hasn’t really changed apart from the removal of end steps, so the NEM pockets are still in the incorrect position. Coupled up with Hornby 20mm magnetic couplings gives a nice close coupling and ease of placing / removing stock.
  6. Not sure what’s going on with them though. I’m still waiting on delivery. Maybe RMS is the retailer that people have mentioned is having delivery problems?
  7. Can anyone comment on these stay alives? I’ve read somewhere before that the Hornby power bank is more than just capacitors and that other stay alives may not be suitable. This one however is stating that it works with HM7000 decoders. https://www.dccconcepts.com/product/ae-model-2-wire-stay-alive/?fbclid=IwAR2ntQO8UnNWZLHxjj_sHUr40GasrENY55waKglMJnvCHnq4aMWhryic5mA_aem_AW4iZH94zsnn-eJt-CXoNhujlHK9ede5npSKftW0BL6fTGhyMU5PsKfP-n3IrMmKvCo
  8. Looks like there’s a few available here: https://www.railwaymodelstore.co.uk/search-results-page?q=accurascale and here https://www.hampshiremodels.co.uk/products/accurascale-2670-oo-gauge-mk2b-sk-coach-19486?_pos=7&_sid=9b668a417&_ss=r
  9. Please could somebody kindly advise of how to remove the bodies for the end units. The two centre units are very easy but the end units seem to be more of a struggle and I’m not keen on forcing it. Thanks!
  10. The wires on the stay alive are more than long enough. Hopefully more of the future releases will have this kind of space available!
  11. I’ve fitted these in quite a few different coaches. Just stick the strip to the roof and hide the battery holder in the toilet / guards compartment.
  12. It’s not Hornby. I met the team 4/5 months ago and they told me that another brand was already thinking about doing the Electrostars but obviously wouldn’t say who. I was then told that being near Worthing, there’s something on the way that I will be interested in… Got my hopes up for a 313 but probably wrong.
  13. Hi All! I’m looking for a Vitrains class 47 (or even class 37) detail pack, the ploughs in particular. Does anyone know anywhere that might have them for sale or have some spares available. I have already checked the obvious sources, Peter’s spares etc, and due to Vitrains having an alternative coupling pocket, the Bachmann ploughs are no good so I’m am looking specifically for Vitrains parts. Many thanks.
  14. I noticed there was no mention of the WCRC mk1’s in this round of announcements despite the website saying they are due in January / February. Does that mean they are not on the way or do Bachmann release extras that were not part of the announcements in between?
