  1. Not having the skills of some of you guys the modifications are limited to the horns on the roof, I high intensity light on the rear as it’ll mostly be running backwards, it’s had peters spares finer scale wheels fitted and it is suiting its rail freight livery
  2. I still wanted it to look like a lima shunter just in british. I think the railfreight grey with red banding will suit it
  3. i have no idea i wasnt sure if it was a continental one or an american one.
  4. After attempts to reshape a warped body shell failed and spares being pennies I decided to start again with the project so in what is a large picture dump here is limas continental shunter it’ll end up in Railfreight grey
  5. Hi I was painting the bed for a 1/72 scale truck from an academy kit at thought actually would this make a good substitute for Teaking Hornby coaches? It is a bit matte but this is Hornby 62
  6. the only picture i have of it save it is paired with 31407 and i cant remember where its from
  7. As you can see it’s a long way from horrendous but if I’m going to the trouble of making it into something I’d like it to be less warped
  8. Ive got an old 040 continental style shunter by lima (the little blue one) and it has a slightly distorted bodyshell, Is it possible to re shape it or take the sitortion out of it? it doesnt affect the running or overall shape its just like it has been too close to heat in one place
  9. could this eventually be programmed to operate automatically when the train approaches?
  10. the thinnest wound one you can get a light gauge Electtic guitar 'g' string is a good start d a and low e are all thicker with low e being thickest
  11. Its no secret that as shown in my username, The Mainline Freight livery is one of my favourites, its just so smart so here is my Fictional class 90 'Christine' 90037.
  12. Hi All loo looking for another 31/4 loco this time in EWS 31466 I’ve only seen one on Facebook and the seller wants a premium for it. Does anyone have one? It’s for a detailing project
  13. I assume you mean these? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/115684682549?hash=item1aef582b35:g:IfQAAOSwVl1j0XVJ
  14. Shawplan do a cut away buffer beam, there is also an A1 models one on ebay
  15. Heres some images of a Lima it started as 47006 and ended up as 57006 in advenza, i uses shawplans roof kit for it and a Bachmann underframe tanks to replace the one size does not fit all Lima variant
  16. I converted a class 47 into a 57 with the above kit, you need to decide on which one you want to do as the kit only seems to cover the early 57/0s with the 47 cab ends and not the smoothed ones or the thunderbird ones as above
  17. Real long shot here guys, recently found an old trainset it was the Hornby dino safari one with Lifelike Trains Powerloc track ideal for my nephew to click together. unfortunately the power feed has snapped off it. does anyone have any sections of this track?
  18. as above looking to build a rake of these tankers, the dont need to be perfect or boxed what have you got?
  19. I Love the Hornby 0-4-0s but unfortunately Hornby fitted too fast a motor for them and the chassis was identical on hem, I decided to see what I could do with a Barclay 06 shunter so here is some pictures of mine. Unfortunately due to the motor I cannot do anything about the toolboxes on the side
  20. Later Hymek mouldings also had a more correct offset fan grille whereas the early ones had it centrally
