  1. Evening, Superb modelling Peter, Have you got 'Diesel Depots-The Early Years' from Irwell Press? Mallard might be interested too... Steve
  2. Hi, Nice model Scarren. Merf and Shipbadger, ref posts 1111-1114, I saw one of these orange lorries at Three Bridges this morning around 06:45. It was side on and at a distance so I couldn't see the plates. Steve
  3. Merf, I remember seeing those 2 vans in post #981 at Brighton about 20 years ago and thinking they'd make good models but no-one made the vans. Don't suppose anyone does now. Not much has changed apart from the ads but I sometimes see BTPs 'RV' parked there. Steve
  4. Don't know if you've seen this before but I took this today at 'Bells'n'Bugles' at Bentley (nr Lewes) today. It's a Firefly from Eastliegh Works Fire Brigade, one of four (the others were at Doncaster, Derby and Wolverton). Steve
  5. VERY nice work there, Jim. Just had a look at Wells green TMD, do you think he'd make more of those 377 cabs to sell? Brilliant fleet Steve
  6. Jcb, Nearest I can find is this one taken at Mid Hants last year, it's a mobile Ticket Office Steve
  7. Thanks JCB, that's the one! The one Kev mentioned is brilliant too. Steve ps Any of you chaps know what this is?
  8. Paul, That Sherpa Box van looks more like a BT vehicle, they had a vast array of vans and personnel carriers (wish I could remember what the site was...). Did BR ever buy second-hand? Steve
  9. Merfyn, These are superb resources, I never knew such things existed! Thanks for sharing them. I've got no excuse now! Steve
  10. Hi Ringo, There was an article in RM some years back about how to scratchbuild and motorise a Bruff, I'll see if i can find it and PM it to you if it's any help. Steve
  11. Looks like Bruff between those 2 white containers, Steve
  12. R.Parker does a w/m kit of a J4 Steve
  13. Ok, thanks for sharing this, very useful Steve
  14. This is brilliant, don't suppose you got dimensions for the body on that Bruff re-railer? Does anyone know if these vehicles were 4x4? Thanks for sharing this. Steve
  15. Brian, BW Models don't do a Sherpa, a company called PDI Model Supplies (.co.uk) used to distribute CMSC but PDI sold up and the new owner (whose name escapes me...) didn't appear to continue the range unfortunately. Steve
  16. Hi Merfyn, BMC J4 looks great as does the Sherpa, where did you get the Sherpa from though? Steve
  17. BW Models do the Ruston RB-19 base machine (16.50), and attachments: skimmer, Back actor, face shovel (all 4.50) and jib (5.50). They also do a Coles 10ton Crane on an AEC chassis. most of their items are miltary (virtually everything except tanks!) but can be adapted for civvy use. Just like the prototype really! Steve
  18. Think Ireland should've won Team of the Year in BBC Sports Personality awards.

  19. Looks like an Escort van, I've never seen a BR one before. Steve
