  1. Is anyone aware of response from Heljan regarding the issues surrounding their night owl?
  2. Dave is often in Footplate at Kidderminster as he lives locally.
  3. Thanks I wish I had your painting skills excellent pics. Terry
  4. I may have missed this but what's best way to remove plates prior to fitting newnumber plates?
  5. Wondered if there were any updates for this excellent thread?
  6. I haven't read all the posts but have a couple of questions, apologies if already discussed. 1. What is actual cost of recharging in ponds sterling? 2. If 50% of all cars are electric and need charging could our supply sustain the power needed? Once again sorry if previously discussed. Terry
  7. Received 4707 yesterday from Rails with decoder fitted, runs very well no parts missing although I did ask Rails to double check it before despatch. Overall very pleased with loco and performance probably because Rails checked it first. Terry
  8. Excellent modelling very atmospheric.
  9. Mike has done a cracking job its details that make the layout stunning.
  10. Very impressive particularly like the way some of your trees have been blown to one side by the wind.
  11. I managed to get a shed pass for March when it had all the Brits, sadly don't have records but it was an epic Sunday trip from Bewdley one of the highlights being A4 Dwight D In Peterborough station. Arriving at March they thought I was a school party instead of one 12 year old so one volunteered to take me round if I signed the others chits so they got their overtime! That trip completed my Brits so worth the 14 hours the trip took.
  12. I haven't read all the thread so apologies if this has been covered, have Heljan publicly responded to the issues raised? It's a pity I along with many others was really looking forward to this model.
  13. Thanks Phil I was hoping it was to close couple pity.
  14. Just bought collet goods there appear to be two ways of coupling tender the plastic hook and metal connector found on more modern locos , I'm assuming the metal connector is for closer coupling but how do you fit it. Also there's a plastic bar that I'm assuming fits on to tender but where? Probably obvious but not to this old git!
  15. Thanks for comments there's a lot that needs doing to make this better
  16. Perhaps as part of driving test potential drivers could have a mental capacity assessment, obviously not for existing drivers I would miss my car
  17. Could someone put a list of areas that need addressing so us lesser mortals can make a decision about wether to buy one or not? Such a shame that this long awaited model isn't to same standard as most other manufacturers. Terry
  18. I subscribe to both Hornby and Model Rail but I'm considering wether I will in future, not because of any issues with either magazine. Buying locally from newsagent goes some way to ensure these small shops survive they give local people jobs and life to our towns and villages. Just my opinion.
  19. I found putting reflective sheets on velum windows reduced heat and colour fade on scenery if you left blinds open, our loft was converted over 20 years ago, so it's been a good test.
  20. Thanks Peter I hope to have project soon, so impressed with your skills.
  21. Followed the chicken? Hat coat etc
  22. Your skill is incredible do you undertake commissions as a business?
  23. Saw advert for these in American mag and wondered if anyone had used them and how they perform?
  24. Regarding splashes gate the only time I saw these active they always seemed to have extra lamps or the firemans bike strapped to side or covered in so much grime it was hard to see, either way looks smashing model.
