  1. It looks like the NSE 117 has a high intensity headlight, so that bodes well for a future 121 with a headlight!
  2. For the ebay power cars, it comes up as Derails on the paypal receipt, so it is legitimate. Sometimes eBay approach companies and subsidise the discount, which I suspect is what’s happening here. I hope this is a good money spinner for the Derails team.
  3. If I were Bachmann I would plan for 2 car operation so that I could sell a 2 car pack later on. In a similar way that the 158 has three and two car options. Hopefully they have the foresight for this!
  4. afaik those are general release not a commission.
  5. There are also roof differences between 001-004 and 005 (which is why the original announcement of 002 has switched to 005). At the very least, to accommodate 003 that also means adjusting the tool to accommodate 1-4. Conjecture, but maybe this is why there is more delay, and maybe batch 2 will see another /0 in later Yeoman or AI, along with 003
  6. Are there any plans on another run? Ultimately, I would like 12 more Cawoods with different numbers, but will likely crack and order another set from this batch.
  7. yes, my point was that the timeline for delivery this year looks a bit ambitious, not that the Russians have stolen the plans and it’ll arrive powered by chemtrails. But nevertheless, we’ll leave it there.
  8. I’m well aware of the R&D process for models thanks The official line for the 87 is that work started in March 16, they had a 3d print at Warley that year. It missed its 2017 initial release date but it has been out for a year. If the 91 was started around the same time then we should be further ahead. The proof will be in the pudding though, so I’m looking forward to seeing it at the end of the year... -edit- I’m aware of concerns about the contribution of this model to the haitus of the other one, so I should clarify I’m not trying to reopen that debate, merely that I’ll be very surprised if there is a 91 under this year’s christmas tree.
  9. It took them 4 years to get to a fairly average looking 3d print, and yet it's going to be here at the end of this year something doesn't add up
  10. If they do an extra run, I’d happily go for the Laira yellow one, and suspend disbelief that it’s not a later Cowan’s & Sheldon crane
  11. often Olivia’s strip out existing DCC sound and replace it with their own. If anybody has one of these can they confirm what the Bachmann supplied chip is? edit - the options at Olivias site suggest Bachman supply a select but Olivias can supply a v5
  12. the website artwork for 60070 and 60015 is very similar (look at were the pipes intersect each other, or the smudges on the windows). It's likely the same photo that has had the computer artwork added.
  13. The Yeoman example will now be 59005, which has a different roof to the first 4 (005's roof is similar to the 59/1s). They have mentioned that 003 will be done in a second batch in GBRf, so if they fix the roof for that it opens up the door for the other 4 in other liveries. source: https://www.Dapol.co.uk/shop/preorder/OO-Gauge-Preorder/Class_59_Preorder
  14. What a shocker. In addition, the number looks a little low - it's on top of the arrows, and the repeater stripes creep into the upper grey. There is a small vent underneath the cabside windows. With weathering this gets more pronounced, but clean photos of the prototype show it as grey. Hornby have painted it black on recent 60s, but only on one side here. This is the first time I have cancelled a pre-order. It's not worth £160 if it also requires touching up.
  15. Great announcement - fingers crossed for lots of 80s/90s examples. Also 6700 either in early 90s green or as-preserved would be nice
