    That's a thought. I plan to line the tunnel for 18 inches or so. It'll be interesting to see how that works sound wise. I suspect it might deaden the sound but we shall see.

    Absolutely. The stage at which working on the layout stops and running trains takes over. That is why i have not wired my track yet!
