You are right Jools. There is a picture of one on the Queen of Scots pullman at GQS dated 26 May 1962. It may have been the only visit by a Deltic other than more recently in preservation.

Thanks for that. I remember seeing the Signaller69 thread before the crash. Such a lot of work!

I think you are probably right. Mind you I was surprised Heljan went for the 104!

So, what is left in my list? I will need a couple of N15's and a J83. I have started a D49 combining a Hornby loco with a Bachmann Director tender. I have a J36 which i plan to repaint and renumber. I am going to replicate a weld repair to the tender which seemed to be fairly common in their latter days. A Glen would be good and maybe a V2 also. And of course a couple of Edinburgh/Glasgow intercity DMU sets. Overall though I am happy with the acquisitions made so far. Most have been second hand.

Here are a few more. Some will need renumbering, the shunters, the B1 and the 24 particularly I have included one of a category I call the outliers. The caley tank would never have graced GQS. I just like It! Cheers David

Way back on page 1 I drew up this wish list of locos for GQS. It has evolved since but now more than 2 years on I have gone a good way towards acquiring some of the wished for stock. Here is the first selection.

Good to see this up and running. I really like that crossover you have to switch trains from one circuit to the other. Cheers David

Looking forward to following progress. I have said it before, the 37 sound is really effective. Cheers David -

Really very effective in such a small space. You purchaser has landed himself a great wee layout. A 7 mill version would be fun to do! I have put that on my list! With Trewithen sold as well you face the prospect of an empty POD. That should get the creative juices flowing. Cheers David -

Great video Andy. The layout has come on a treat. Cheers David -
Made a start on the signal gantry. I need to lower it a little but looking reasonable otherwise. The signal dolls will be constructed on sub bases and dropped into the gantry Cheers David

Thanks Brian. They are a wee bit on the chunky side, but I can live with them. They will be hardly noticeable once they are under the bridge. Cheers David

Great video Andy. It is coming along nicely. You have covered a lot of ground (literally!) The sound in that 37 sounds pretty good, I assume it is standard Hornby TTS? Cheers David
