I was bidding on that as well, beaten to it again! I recently bought a mixed lot of kits and bits, usual GWR 61xx and 2251 included with all wheels. However it also contained a brass 47xx, which must weigh about 2lbs, and Romford wheeled chassis, and an unknown manufacturers etched brass LNWR 0-6-2 Coal Tank kit, basically untouched with two chassis and wheels. Total cost with postage was £38. That should give me enough to play with for a while..... No wait, I also seem to have bought 2 old K's Q1's. Looks like a trip down the road to Bognor is on the cards for new chassis' I really need to break this e-bay habit before I get thrown out the house

I don't think this one has been mentioned? Another advocate of 'impressionistic' weathering.... using by the look of it Dulux tester pots https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/403219681250

Aston On Clun. A forgotten Great Western outpost.

....and don't forget the later MkIV came in a Hermaphrodite version....just to mix things up so to speak! -
I've had the same issue with some loose tyres and wheels out of true in the last couple of batches I've bought. All purchased recently from Eileens. A back to back gauge and a little Loctite, (other brands available), seems to have sorted them out though. But it is has been frustrating, especially as they have been in short supply!

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/115026209116?hash=item1ac818a95c:g:D-QAAOSwDSlhWf0w Looks like this set has also suffered at the hand of the gods.....!

Ah....old friends Rocketrailways! Always good for a little humour, although they have been absent from these pages for a while

I understand the need to stocktake, about 40 wagon and coach kits now in the pile, along with a couple of dozen 'rebuilds'! SWMBO is refusing to take any more parcels in until I actually build some of them But there again I've seen these wagons......

I should think there were plenty of offers, just maybe not the ones she was after

Assuming it's an 1833 class and built by Dubs or Neilson it could be a 'Scotsman' at least...even if it didn't fly along that well

Well here's one Bachmann offering, again I don't see anything mentioned about a donation to a charity....except their own https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/203488855072?epid=9046798893&hash=item2f60e18420%3Ag%3AJFcAAOSwjDdgmorE&LH_Auction=1

I think I'll spend my money on the 'new, deluxe' version on the basis that if DHL have trashed it once lightning shouldn't strike in the same place twice, (unless it's a lightning conductor and then it's meant to!) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Empty-Box/353440962769?hash=item524ab918d1:g:g5wAAOSwZCxgZxn~

Well it was time, you beat me a couple of times

At the moment it could be a gold mine! Personally I think it's a bubble which will soon be burst. We know that there will always be some more sought after kits or models for different reasons, but once we can get back to shows and club meetings traders. and individuals, will see that it's not a sustainable model (excuse the pun!). It's just the unique set of circumstances which have driven the demand. Think the 'Fire Triangle' remove one element and the fire dies down. In this case though the three elements are Spare Time, Covid and Disposable Income.

Well somebody had a good day for selling! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kit-built-South-Eastern-Chatham-Rly-10T-goods-van-No-9934-4mm-scale-00-gauge/143988261283 A second one went for £65 And then this for a plastic kit, I know they're @@RARE@@, but even so!! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kit-built-Lancashire-Yorkshire-Rly-10ft-w-base-open-wagon-4mm-scale-00-gauge/143988180150

If W.o.B don't deliver parkup the 313 at Goring and nip around the corner to their warehouse....

A nice couple of wins for me, one increasing ever more the wagon collection. (Although SWMBO doesn't seem to agree it's a good idea!) Job lot of 10 wagons for £33.00 , some compensated, most of them nicely built, needing finishing or wheelsets, but most of all including another ABS Rectank. That makes the 4th picked up recently with the most paid being £11.00 + postage. I keep seeing them bid up to £25-30 each.... And maybe not so much of a bargain, but certainly a 'loco want' for a while, a Millhome GCR N4/5 Kit for £51.00. One of those badly described, single picture lots. So it was fingers crossed until it arrived. Fortunately it is what it was supposed to be with body parts never opened. One for the 'roundtuit' list after finishing some more wagons off. You are supposed to build these @@rare@@ kits when you buy them, right?

If they hadn't closed the Great Central they would have fitted, and still gone past DIRFT
