  1. Some unusual options! There are always fictional loco options, or conversions to/from tank/tender engines. Imagine an A4 tank engine option 😁
  2. 37001 dispatch notice from Rails of Sheffield! Not been charged yet as far as I know 😀
  3. Any idea when the early 37s such as 37.001 will reach retailers such as Rails? #update# Rails tell me due late this week
  4. If its from AS new, I'd order 2 units. If its Hornby / Bachmann I'd have to wait until 2nd hand or heavily discounted due to their inflated prices & issues
  5. Mine is via Rails, so a week behind I guess. Still not asked for the £££ yet!
  6. Hasn't stopped the modelling of many other one offs has it! Also less than a third of small BR shunters have been modelled. A large gap remains for all small diesel shunters.
  7. EMUs remain a huge gap. Old big 4 diesel shunters too.
  8. EFE has announced the Class 70 CC1 and CC2 locos in all liveries!
  9. Have been running in my 7819 Hinton Manor, but running in made no difference. She runs smoothly and sounds are great. No bits missing but the coal was in a bag instead of being fitted. It is a bit of a noisy runner at speed, louder than the DCC sound. Running it with 8 coaches and heavy load mode is absolutely brilliant! Best steam sound loco I've had.
  10. I have just received shipment confirmation for GWR 7819 via DHL, so they are on the way!
  11. Has anyone got a delivery notification for the long lost last of batch 1 yet? I'm still awaiting 37001!
  12. Has anyone got a delivery notification for the long lost second half of batch 1 yet? I'm still awaiting 7819!
  13. You're a load a damn rivet counters, or in this case pointing out tiny differences in ceiling trims or is it just a suffix?
  14. https://www.accurascale.com/blogs/news/nice-2c-progress-mark-2c-decorated-samples-revealed Nice 2c Progress - Mark 2c Decorated Samples Revealed
  15. Worse still their website now shows as all arrived! Clearly not true (unless they have but failed to tell us).
  16. This is now getting very annoying. Dates have slipped from a January dispatch, to March, to June, July . Then the deliveries were announced in August with batch 1 arriving and batch 2 due a week later, then no updates until w/c 25th September was announced as the due date then nothing. I know AS must be frustrated but they could at least keep us updated. I paid due to 'imminent' delivery in January!!
  17. Lets imagine something LMS, small and still available to scan. Gives 2 to 5 choices dependant on effort!
  18. Fran, It's been a while since your last update and seeing so many showing off their brilliant new Manors whilst I wait. You never gave an ETA or said if arrival had happened last week!
  19. Weren't the last batch due by now? Seems I order the last model of each range to be delivered each time 🤪 7819 and 37001!!
  20. No class 304 or 310, there's no example to scan and their sphere of operation was limited. Maybe 10 sales nationwide? 😁
  21. From my perspective, when I read the Manors had arrived, I thought that it was all of them not just some of them and expected delivery. With mine stuck listed as 'preparing for shipping' for ages, I chased AS and for the first time discovered that they were still in China! Nothing in anything I have read on the AS website or on RMweb made that clear at all, hence the confusion and annoyance by some. I'm glad the matter is clearer now and that AS are frustrated but the customer needs to be informed more clearly. I have the same issue with 37001, with news that the last 37s from run 1 were on the way including pics of the early 37s only to find they weren't. Simple advice to AS. Be clear on which locos are where so we know, your own fault for doing so many at once!
  22. I'd imagine MUs are going to be down to demographics of AS customers. The older wealthier customers are going to remember units from the 1970s-90s as in Mk1 EMUs & 1st Gen DMUs, but to be honest this customer base is fading slowly so AS have to consider future re-runs & volumes in particular as AC and DC EMU classes ran on just one route narrowing their attraction even more. Maybe the class 305 wandered a bit more and the 303,307,308,309 did a bit but not a lot. SR units were even specific by unit numbers to a depot & hence route in many cases. Another issue for AS is that in most cases, these units no longer exist to scan & measure and AS have to date only done trains they can scan Younger & future customers will be looking at what runs on the network today as do many older customers like me. They are available to scan, the future of re-runs & new liveries is high as they will be around to attract new interest. Top dogs for this are Electrostar, Aventra, Desiro, Hitachi, CAF and Stadler platforms. Whilst I like old units, I cannot see how AS could make a business case for them due to restricted liveries, geography & ageing demographics. I's expect to see an Electrostar family unit next as that is what is most called for and it represents many classes, liveries and areas.
