It definitely sounds like part of the National Rail network - a long expedition, all the way to the next station.

Assuming it is the NVR, hiring in lots of visiting locos doesn't come cheap and it's got to be recouped somehow.

From the people who will run the railway when the current team are too old or passed on? The industry will kill itself. Kids need to be encouraged.

  8. 10 days off yay. What shall i do? Got point rodding to recover, a semaphore to plant and some general maintenance on a passing loop. Perfect break.

  9. 10 minutes outside playing 12 inch to the foot is enough.. back inside now doing 4mm

Most of what needs doing is in the big signalbox so i can wait until later when the stove is going. That'll help the motivation.

Did somebody forget metal mickey I wonder? Saying the Driver didn't receive prior advice of the EROS is irrelevant, he might well have booked on before it was imposed.

  10. 15 hours in A&E, 7 of them waiting for a bed. A neck injury caused by sleeping in an incorrect position. The cure seems to be 7 hours nodding in a hospital waiting area waiting for said bed.

  20. A dream in a box.. https://www.flickr.com/photos/32297024@N08/29514746127/ I have spent a lot of time over the years working towards restoring key token working to my railway. Tomorrow is D day. Circuit change starts at 06:30 and Principles Tester booked on from 09:30. If all goes to plan it will be key token working for the first time since 1969.

Ok yes i changed my mind once i got outside to scrape the van. I also failed to get up Sharpenhoe Clappers on my way to the new goods loop at Sundon.

  22. A few clicks on the mouse and i've drawn another circuit diagram. Step back and take a look. 72 six way 2ba link blocks required. They'll need at least 432 crimps to terminate the wires. Each wire has two ends. That's another 432 crimps @
