  1. Sulzer Type 2 27105 stabled up on shed this evening
  2. i have but in mid 1970's condition with the headcode reporing roller blinds.
  3. A few images of my EM Gauge layout East Road. The last image is of two of the first generation Bachmann Class 40's that I have fully re-sprayed, weathered and detailed.
  4. Has anybody managed to remove the chains on these yet? I will be needing to drop in the EM gauge wheelsets but on looking at chain connections, it doesnt look that starightforward. I know there is a "loosely" based instruction for the Deltic conversion, but it doesnt clearly show how the chains are removed without butchering them
  5. I have ordered the non-sound 027 from Accurascale but have since ordered the ESU and a speaker. Also, hoping for an 043 in the next batch if any left anywhere
  6. I'm sorry, but these are just train porn, especially 027, absolutley hellfire....
  7. Thanks for the speedy reply. However, I am slightly confused (doesn't take much) as to what the white retaining clips/brackets are that are holding the accurathrash speaker in place, in the factory fitted sound 37's? This is what I was referring to.
  8. Great stuff. May I suggest sending the speaker retaining brackets out with a purchased speaker, especially for the ones who have purchased non-sound version models from the first batch like I have. I have since pre-ordered the sound modules and matching speakers (i caved in big time) for both of my initial purchases
  9. Yeah, i saw that last week. Everything in batch 1 is now 2 weeks behind so my comment above is correct
  10. I dont think the round two are in the country yet? If by that you mean the Scottish headlight variants?
  11. Have you seen the latest from Bachmann via Key Model World? 40145 in LL with ELR nameplates
  12. Hi Dave. No, its just pushed downwards from being in the foam cradle when fitting the details. Needs a bit of glue on the underside. Regarding the re-gauging - I have just seen the step by step for the Deltic in the support section of the website. I assume the 37 will be exactly the same as they are practically the same bogie type
  13. Has anybody converted one of the new Accurascale 37's to EM or P4. I have 2 sets of EM gauge wheelsets on order but looking at the wheelset retaining clip/cover, it looks a bit of a faff and a bit apprehensive in case of damaging the bogie frames? Oh and yes, they are a beast!
  14. Same here. I model 1970's/1980's BR Blue era and am waiting on 027 landing. However, I impulsed purchased one of the limited stock 423's yesterday. May just build a modern image diorama with Railway Laser Lines Gresty Bridge fuel point kit...
  15. I have a 21 pin ESU Loksound with the South West Digital Class 37 sound file (modified) that I am going to pop into 423 (none sound purchase) when it arrives this week. Got the speaker arriving today. The sound file has the cold startup and wheel slip so should sound the dogs and will do until the the re-programmed Accurathrash is shipped next month
  16. While being a little impatient waiting the Accurascale 37/0 to land, I've been busy giving the Bachmann 37/0 a bit of detail and a speaker upgrade from Roads and Rails. Finished effect after some weathering.
  17. Inverness Type 2 at rest on the freshly laid track and ballast of my current project! Very much a work in progress...
  18. Over the last few weeks, I have been focusing on my other layout East Road TMD. This layout has been through many changes. This may well not be the last change but it is one that I am completely happy with. It is a 5ft by 18in end to end diorama. DCC operated with 3v powered lighting. The few images below give in insight in to the layout.
  19. So another update on my goods yard layout. Scratchbuilt the yard lamps today. Based on the ones that were at Brora station and goods yard in the late 70's to mid 80's.
  20. The final section of my layout East Road Goods is now complete. This is the section to the west of the goods yard. The goods yard area was completed last week. The goods shed is scratch built and modelled on the buildings that were found at Nairn and Brora on the Far North line.
  21. A couple from the weekend with a bit of light engine movement with 26028
  22. East Road Goods has gone through a transformation over the last few weeks. Gone from being an end to end diorama, it now includes an 8ft x 4ft single track running loop. The goods yard is still the main feature with a scenic section to left of it where the tracks disappear into an hillside double tunnel portal. The track rejoins the yard to the right of the goods yard that also includes a now lifted section of track with sleepers and chairs left behind in a bit of undergrowth, adjacant to the goods shed/coal drop. Still plenty to do. The next job is to complete the scenic section to the right of the yard, just need to work out something, maybe a road bridge? 25109 idles in the yard while on van duties Dressed stone wall added with access gates A low profile timber workshop added A train crew mess room constructed and weathered to add a little extra variation to the yard A busy scene in the yard with a couple of Type 2's Tunnel portal scratch built into the hillside formation
